The Government of Jamaica must put in place a retaining wall along flat Bridge Jamaica to prevent drivers from falling to their death in the river. The Flat Bridge in its current state is a health and safety risk and a death trap. They have a duty of care to the people using the Flat Bridge crossing and road.

But still to stand by an not help another human being makes me extremely heartbroke..I couldn't do that, no matter, ones color race or creed, rich or poor.. because god filled me w compassion, empathy and sympathy.. selfishness is of the devil. one day you may need a diver make sure you have the money to pay someone.

Irresponsible actions often cause these unfortunate situations...overtaking . Preventative strategies need to be taken. Assign traffic police to the area. That could have helped. Many drivers are not responsible even though they know they have the life of passengers in their hands.

Need to replace the bridge altogether. Not sure why in the 21st century we STILL have such a small bridge and we have a foreign contractor in the of CHEC that upgrade it to a 4 lane bridge. There is nothing magical bout the Bridge. It just engineering and can be replaced as the geology of the area allows for such an upgrade!!!
