My female budgie is about 2&1/2 years. Kiwi is my only budgie, and she recently laid 2 eggs...one on a Tuesday, and then another on Thursday. She was sitting on a perch and just dropped them. The eggs were cracked, and I removed them ....she showed no signs of interest in the eggs. Is this unusual for a bird without a mate? Does this mean that Kiwi could possibly do this again next year? Thanks so much for explaining about budgie behavior during this time...her poops were big and runny, and she demolished her cuttlebone and mineral block like you said. Kiwi still isn't back to her normal self and it's been a month or so since the eggs....could this be hormones?

Yea female birds don't need a male to lay eggs, they will do so naturally HOWEVER the eggs aren't fertilized and NOT hatch obviously.

Sometimes they lay only one egg, but sometimes over five. Sometimes those eggs are fertile but sometimes not. If they're infertile you can throw them. If thr female is alone, without the male, and she starts laying eggs it's because she got hormonal. Remove anything that reminds her of nest.

May budgies Zara and Zain always fight with each other,they only preen at night when sleepy,they both are 3 months old,Zara doesn't allow Zain even closer to her,Zain doesn't allow her come out of the pot and they fight for food,is it normal at this age,or will it get alright as they grow up,or how to find they like or dislike each other

No she is not. I think in one of her videos when she got Kira she got her and Winnie from someone who was allergic? Idk but Jenny never had children while in her care. I think Kira is the only budgie who has had kids while in this flock
