19:13 Sounds like a bunch of buzz words. What behind them like 'performance', performance of what? Sounds like me is basically a guidance counselor.

another sign is when senior management (VP level) visits a location it usually means layoffs to that area are coming.

A major hospital system here in Ohio outsourced their entire IT department and the remaining profession coding (billing) department - they had outsourced a large portion of that department about 2 years ago.

Another one is “don’t worry we’re not closing the following locations”. What that actually means we will let you know 2 months later those locations will be closed.

It could be related to the recession (Netflix losing subscribers) because people will first cut entertainment if they can’t afford it because the rise in grocery / gas costs

My company won't fill positions of people leaving because they're cheap a-holes and rather give more work to those that stayed.

Layoffs coming. Just like your personal budget if rising costs you cut an expense. One of the most obvious expenses for a company is payroll ( your salary ).

@@stevenporter863 we're already a skeleton crew from people quitting to get better paying jobs. But the company rather just pile more work on us than learn the lesson of paying more. Many of us are still working at our regular pace and don't care about management's request to work harder. Companies never learn.

@@dachicagoan8185 Sorry to hear that. I have been there. Similar companies I worked for no longer exist ( bankrupt ). They will eventually get to you while 'cleaning' house unless they need you for their skeleton crew to wind down operations. Best way to handle it is to look elsewhere - always easier to get another job while working ( appears not as desperate ). Sounds like it isn't an emergency to get out but making it a priority isn't a bad idea.
