Well the police have figured out how to suck up every penny of local tax revenue so that a lot of places have had to cut back on social worker, mental health support resources. I don't know about other kids but the ones I work with in the system. I'm also Canadian. We work with them to develop skills they need to be independent after they age out of care. If I remember correctly, I think the reason they were coddling her was because she was a victim of a kidnapping some time before that arrest where she was handcuffed and assaulted and she got away some how. I think it was like big news in that area around that time. I remember it being something like that. So supposedly due to her kidnapping and being handcuffed and held hostage, it caused her to have severe ptsd and that’s why she freaked out when she was cuffed. I’m not 100% certain but I’m pretty sure that was the backstory. ***Editing to say this does NOT mean I agree with her disgusting behavior.
