I have a tub of leftover small rocks of all sizes, I lay the sps on their sides with a drop of glue, then place in tank they encrust very quickly and have amazing growth into mini colonies much faster than if mounted upright. practically free 🙂

Amazing video, I would add 2 things. I 100% agree to use to Tunze over the other choices out there. The Tunze might make your skimmer go crazy a little for a short lapse so for those whom don't have a float in their cup keep an eye out. 2nd rince your tools every single time in fresh water to avoid rust even on rustproof equipment.

Home depot has same thing in husky brand for organizing... plus it stacks onto others and a tool bin/base with built in wheels/dolly with telescoping handle giving you a rolling workstation.

Any problems with sticking like lps bone stems in holes in rock? will the coral grow and break the hardscape?

That shouldn't be an issue. Unlike plants, corals don't have a root structure that grows into the ground.

Can someone here please help me! I have custom built a 92 gallon reef tank.. but my plumbing is Messing with me. When i have tuned the gatevalve to full siphon (herbie).. but when i cut the power and restart, the siphon won't restart without me Messing with the gatevalve. What am i doing wrong? Going crazy...

Hard to say definitively without seeing your setup, but it sounds like air is most likely the cause of your problems. What I would suggest is to close your primary valve just a touch more and let the secondary drain take a trickle of water down it. This should help get that full siphon restarted a little more quickly when your power comes back on. If that doesn't work, consider how your plumbing is laid out. If you have long horizontal runs, that could be another cause of air being caught in the plumbing more easily.

How do you know which size plugs or discs to use?

It all depends on the size and type of corals that you'll be mounting. We usually like to keep a variety of plugs on hand so that we're ready to mount corals, no matter which ones we inevitably impulse buy at the frag swap 😅
