Thank you. I’m not sure, I know Fodera, zon, mtd, Ibanez, make them, so it really depends on your budget.

Skjold and Kiesel also make them. Also, you can have a good luthier put lines on any unlined fretless. It will be a bit more expensive if there is a cyanoacrylate coating on the fingerboard.

What kind of strings do you like on a fretless?

It depends on the song, for altered higher tunings I generally use lighter gauge stainless. But some songs I use medium nickels for a mellower sound. I use Fodera strings.

I always use round wounds on fretless. How much wear you get with them will depend on alot of factors like, what wood the fb is, is it coated, how hard you play, etc.. good luck if you decide to go for it. Fretless is alot of fun.

Thank you! Regarding the bass: I couldn't get my asking price, but I sold 4 other basses so I can keep it for now. I am experimenting with pickups alot. Just put a bartolini in it. Regarding the timeline, I used a UAD delay and Valhalla plugins for this one. It sounds very similar to the Timeline and Big Sky, but I only have to go analog to digital one time for the best quality. When I use the timeline I typically use it in stereo delay with about a 350mS delay on one channel and a 250mS delay on the other channel and a touch of modulation. I still record with the timeline and big sky most of the time.
