This is great, and your videos have helped me work on my wardrobe a lot, but I feel like it only works in the summer for very few climates. Do you have suggestions for those of us who live in places that get into the 80s,90s, and 100s during the summer? I'd sweat myself right out of any of these in the summer.

If anyone here thinks white minimalist sneakers are "dumb, pointless, meh, whatever, etc" I too used to be anti-white sneakers. I just didn't understand - why not wear nicer shoes instead? Here's the deal: One day it dawned on me that despite having many quality dress shoes, loafers, driving mocs, etc, I kept running into the same dilemma during the warmer seasons. I had no good options for my frequent outings that needed the practicality of athletic shoes but I still wanted to look well put-together. For example, today I went into town for some errands and wanted to look nice, but afterwards I had to go to the Home Depot garden section to pick up a bag of gravel. The fine leather summer loafers I usually like to wear would not be appropriate for this final errand. This is why white leather minimalist sneakers are so useful. They are practical and comfortable enough for Home Depot runs, but still look elevated and presentable enough to go nearly anywhere during the day, a very special combo. I'd now say that white minimalist leather sneakers are the most versatile casual footwear I own for the Spring/Summer. And, I also finally agree with what many have already stated: in the warmer weather, white is the most useful of all the minimalist sneaker colors for daytime casual outfits. I surely resisted this glaring whiteness at first and I missed the whole point of them. I first tried these in various browns, grays, and beiges but in the end, though nothing is wrong with these darker shades, they all just look heavier, less summery, and certainly less sharp and "fresh" than white in the heat. Especially since I wear these almost exclusively in the daytime, white just has the most daytimey uplifting vacation vibe, unlike any other color I own. I must emphasize these are NOT dress shoes, but casual shoes. So if you choose to wear white sneakers with more formal items like blazers, it is still a casual look. However, there is very much a need and place for this. So my final verdict: Ashley is 100% right. Highly recommended. Yes, this comment has been quite a mouthful, but I just want to help people in an area where I had so much initial resistance. PS A cheap magic eraser is great at keeping them clean. If you have a few accidental stains that need serious whitening up, the Saphir White Novelys color restorer is the best I've ever tried. Currently 16 bucks on Amazon. Have a great week my friends.

Why specifically white though? Brown, black, navy, grey, beige/sand would all be better options that look better with most outfits, aren't as contrasting and look less juvenile.

At least for the smart casual look, I would say to stay away from Converse. Not that those are necessarily bad, but the LEATHER white low top is the staple when it comes to versatility and style. If you already have those, then yes, you can get the Converse as a plus and use it from time to time I guess. Personally, I would stay away from the high top, only shoes you need that go all the way above the ankle are boots, like some chelsea boots, for example. This is all my opinion, I know you asked the person in the video but just trying to give some advice and help if possible.

I wouldn't wear white sneakers with navy pants unless you're tall. If you're shorter, like I am, having shoes that contrast with your pants makes you look shorter.

As a dog walker white shoes are just not practical for my lifestyle. I do like to be stylish but more on the rugged side of menswear so my clothes will actually last. I opt for black sneakers in canvas or leather in summer and they have the same impact as white IMO. Barefoot shoes are also my new favorites because of their wideness and low weight. They have gotten pretty stylish over the years and no longer look like those abominations that are toe shoes.
