Honestly the video I've been waiting for. I've had a bag of NFC tags for and bit now and haven't got around to using them. This video has given some great ideas I need to use. Thanks so much for sharing!

Oooh, an interesting concept, and an avenue I had not explored. Instead of a wholesale replacement of the name, an augmentation of it to make it more unique and stand out better in search results. I'll need to put some thought into this. Thank you!!!!

Interesting ideas, thanks for sharing. If I can give a little contribution to your home assistant configuration, I would suggest to gather your on/off automation into a single one and use trigger IDs. Happy to help if needed

Thanks for this Video. Tag on the litterbox is what i did for a good while now, but my wife never scans it. I'm replacing mine with a door sensor.

@@fasthowto On the lid of the litterbox. That way everytime it gets changed home assistant triggers a call to a task in grocy. It uses that task to track when was the last time it was changed. I use this to trigger a reminder when it was not changed for a while.

Sorry, this channel focuses on Home Assistant. Neither of the devices you mention are allowed in my house. I would strongly suggest that you look into Home Assistant. It's free, works with WAY more devices than either of the two things you mention, is much more secure, private, AND reliable than those, and is completely customizable. Did I mention it's also free?
