This looks super useful! Looking forward to learning more about MilkyTracker, I've never heard of it before.

It's really fun. The learning curve is slightly steeper compared to Pico-8, but once you get in the flow of it, it's awesome.

Hi there, for some reason the Scale section in my layout resolution menu is grayed out and I can't change it. Why is this?

what do u think of furnace and deflemask as trackers?
@Gruber_Music7 ай бұрын
I've never used them. If you're trying to decide which to use, try them all for a bit (but also try not to spend any money). If you still can't decide, then there's no wrong answer. Go with whichever has the most supportive community.

great tutorial series! it's helped me a lot getting started. just want to ask what resolution should i use? i tried setting the custom resolution to my monitor's native resolution (1920x1080) but it seems to cut off the bottom section, including the sample editor (which is a bit important).

Really depends! It's a balance between being able to see as many channels as possible, but also it being big enough so you can read it all! Since I made this video, MilkyTracker was updated and now includes the ability to drag the bottom left corner of the app window for resizing. Definitely try that too

Ahh that's great! You're welcome! No idea tbh, I've always just used or created my own. I'd start with the milky tracker website and the community forums: milkytracker.org

Hey uhhh, how do you extend tracks so that the music could last for a bit longer? Pls reply. I need help.

Use those "+" and "-" buttons beside "Len." The default is 040. That will increase and decrease the number of rows in your pattern.

Also, I show you how to do this in the next tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2emiHd3jKmtms0

i managed to up the scale of the app to where it's outside of the display window, and I can't find a way to fix it to be back to normal, is there a way to fix it?
@Gruber_Music5 жыл бұрын
Can you change the scale back to X1? Or do you mean you can't see those options anymore? You could also try to switch to full screen so you can view all the options again. (Ctrl+option+F on PC I think).
@RMMachinimas5 жыл бұрын
Gruber yea im not able to see the options anymore, i’ll try to do the fullscreen solution when i get the chance, thank you!

Ok let me know. Otherwise, you might have to go into the config files somewhere. I've never had to do that, but I think it's a possibility.
