A handy tip to avoid scratches, is use black electrical tape on surfaces that will contact each other. You can trim afterwards once you've finished adjusting. ;)

This is perfectly timed, Yorkie, I've got a GT Omega PRIME arriving any day now! Can't wait to put it together and I'll definitely be watching this back as a refresher at the time.
@Yorkie0653 жыл бұрын
That's awesome! Just pay attention to the tips, take your time and be patient, and you'll enjoy it. It's very rewarding when it is all set up properly and a lot of fun to race in.

Hell yea, that racing seat alone will shave precious seconds off your lap times.

Thanks! Of course, I just blew out my bag lugging a leaf blower up and down my ravine. Perfect timing! lol

Just started building my TR80 and I’m missing two profiles needed for the seat. Hope TrakRacer gets back to me Soon

I have a mk4 TR80 and I'm struggling to set up the pedal tray. It's the same as the one in your video. The part I am struggling with is getting the aluminum extrusion onto the hinge piece. It seems like it wants a bolt in the center hole of the extrusion. However the bolt is too large to fit in that hole and it's not threaded. Am I missing something?

Haha I k ow the struggle so we'll. Got a TR160 for about a year now and with every piece of upgrade in gear I need to readjust many things.
@Yorkie0653 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is a mental thing with taking the right approach. If you go into it with some patience and not rush things, it's actually a hell of a lot of fun building and adjusting these rigs. They can get a little frustrating a times though if you want to do something quick lol
@aqulex843 жыл бұрын
@@Yorkie065 yeah that's right. And they can get heavy if you're adjusting some part alone with gear in it because you want to do it "quick"
@Yorkie0653 жыл бұрын
Oh god yeah!! I've had to pull my rig back and out of it's spot for the next video and I am dreading having to push it back. Wasn't so bad to pull it out, but pushing it back into its previous position is going to be difficult.
@aqulex843 жыл бұрын
@@Yorkie065 yeah i feel you.talked about that struggle.in my video about the tr160 as well. Would be useful to put it on casters but I don't like the look of casters at all 😅

What made you choose the rally seat over the gt

I watched your videos twice already before this last time, thinking 8 hours?? But then today I just contact my vendor for my purchase this coming sunday, things in your video starts to look scary LOL. I will follow YOUR instructions definitely. As per setting up the position, do you have any recommendation as to which part should get fixed first? My understanding is that the position driving position can be moved up or down. OR does the front plate has its limits and you can only move the Wheel base column? cheers

I just ordered a TR8 rig, cause I race on console I can‘t use an ultra wide monitor, do you think a 32 inch monitor would be big enough, my second option would be a 40 inch TV, distances should be pretty similar to your setup. Thanks a lot.

Was your hardware labeled? I received my TR80, but none of the hardware is labeled so I have no idea what is what.
@Yorkie0652 жыл бұрын
Some of the hardware was, mainly the bits that were in the packets. The main pieces of aluminium though weren't, but I figured them out by reading the instructions carefully and measuring each piece.

hello how did you connect the T300 to the fanatec pedals?
@Yorkie065 Жыл бұрын
Both the pedals and the wheel are connected to the PC via USB. Have not connected the two together like you would if using thrustmaster pedals and thrusmaster wheelbase.

How did that take you 40 hours? I built a wooden rig from plans from ricmotech in 12 It'd like I always said, if you call a wrench a spanner, you don't need to be holding it.
@Yorkie0653 жыл бұрын
It didn't take me 40 hours. It took me 12-16 hours in total, with 3-4 hours spread across 3-4 evenings. First time building one, and I had to move things a bit from where the instructions initially suggested to make the measurements suit me and provide a comfortable driving position.
