Tip 1 is maybe the single most important thing that helped me get through making short films! Storyboarding, and previz are great when planning out large scale projects. Whithout those I probably would maybe finish a project, but it wouldn't look as planned out and would probably be all over the place and would take double the amount of time to finish. Also accepting that your work cant be perfect, but good enough is the key to finishing the project. Its hard to get over that, but is crucial.

We learn a lot more when we're looking how to solve or improve our own projects rather than just following and doing a project from a tutorial.

Yes. I mean I have used blenders compositor for years before that. So I leaned what these tools are called in nuke. After that I watched videos, if I needed some new things for my project.
