Hopefully you are able to take some information from this video and use it to improve at Pokemon Draft League! Thanks for the support during the season!

Thanks for making this video! It really highlighted what you were experiencing this season and I agree that Carbink and Gligar looked good on paper. They really didn’t work well this season. Gligar did show up a lot but it’s mostly because of its ground type.

You are welcome buddy! Yeah, they were decent options but didnt allow for much offensive pressure! Lesson learned 😊

I also think an underrated advice is taking notes (in teambuilding, team preview, and during the game). It has helped me stay focused, notice the details, and remember my game plan

Gathering information is a very important part too! I tend to not write stuff down and end up forgetting some things. Especially on wifi!

Dedicated leads are 100% the best thing everyone can do to get better as a player. Really helps with building coherent teams and makes it easier to win games with a game plan to execute.

Lead match up is such a huge deal as it can really dictate the tempo of a game so dedicated leads are such an important thing to have!

Its such a fun way to play competitive Pokemon and watching people on youtube is a great way to learn 😊 Thats why I made this video, so you learn by my mistakes 😂

The main reason to use leftovers is if you’re using a protect Pokémon especially with wish. But even without that, boots are so strong that they’re often better
@jricky86 ай бұрын
There are definitely cases where you want Leftovers, ie if you run a sub set up set but generally speaking boots might be more useful in more cases

Hey Jricky! This vid was great and I liked watching your games this season. I am joining a draft league soon and I was wondering if you could make a video on different play styles (bulky offense, terrain, weathers, etc) because I’m not sure what to go with 🤔

Agree with most of these. I think it’s very important to not fall into the trap of having a good team “on paper”. How you build and play is exponentially more important. I disagree with the leftovers tip. I think lefties are still a great item to have, prevent you from getting 3hit KO’d and solid on bulky setup sweepers, to give you a bit more health back to live a hit later. The Weakness Policy tip is true, however I think it requires really solid prep and can put you in a really bad spot early on if it pops too early. Overall really solid tips, I think the first two are probably the most important.
@jricky86 ай бұрын
Leftovers are still solid for sure but I wouldnt consider them the plug and play item as it waa in previous generations!

What wish passers do you think were better than Vaporeon in this draft/ how do you feel about wish passing in draft?
@jricky86 ай бұрын
I brought wish pass Vaporeon a couple times but in general im not a huge fan of it in draft. I tend to avoid it. Feel like it can be a bit passive especially in a meta as fast paced as this one. Makes balance really hard to play

something tells me that this is clickbait and these items are still good to use in some situations
@jricky86 ай бұрын
@@jake9107 its not clickbait at all, I actually justify why I dont think its the optimal item in a lot cases. Definitely still a very viable item Leftovers is, I just dont think its a slap on every defensive mon as it was in previous gens!
