Hey James! Awesome video, thanks for sharing! We use the August Smart Lock at our properties-it’s great, but the downside is needing to replace the batteries on the keypad every month and on the lock itself every two months. Have you tried any other smart locks that integrate with Airbnb?

Yeah the batter drain is definitely a downside. I haven't tried many of the other smart locks out there personally, but I have heard good things about Yale and Schlage.

Thumbnail pretty cringe tbh. Also using a physical key is nice. Not everyone is tech savy, especially old ppl.

Physical keys are pretty awful for STRs because they get lost, get taken by guests mistakenly, and are not at all secure (can easily be copied). Keypads don't require someone to be tech savvy, just be able to identify numbers and push buttons lol
