Accuracy, leadership and rings are a bigger deal to me given Emmitt was scoring all the TD's. Were it not for the run-heavy offensive system Dallas played in, Aikman would have put up HUGE numbers and probably own a majority of NFL records by the time he retired. When other quarterbacks were throwing the ball 35 and 40 times per game, Aikman was completing 19 of 21 passes for 260 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Super accurate, Big Arm, quintessential professional, tough as nails. He was a cerebral, laser focused, passionate competitor. Aikman was a perfectionist and winning meant more to him than statistics. He rarely made bad throws and probably a third of his interceptions came on tipped balls. (I know,...I watched virtually every down of every game.) Troy Aikman was and is a Class Act. My all-time favorite QB!

Look I agree Troy is being a little overrated here, but one thing you can't deny about him is that he was TOUGH. I remember his rookie year how badly he was brutalized, by LT, Leonard Marshall, Reggie White, Jerome Brown,, Dexter Manley and Charles Mann. It was savage, had Troy decided to quit football I wouldn't have blamed him. But he stuck through it, and eventually became a Super Bowl caliber QB. That's got to be worth something.

I would def say most underrated. Accuracy counts and he def had that more of that than anyone ever. And he was a natural leader , which made them win 3 championships, ( uh, kind of hard to beat). He could have easily replaced Montana or anyone else in those other teams and done as well, or maybe vastly better. Its not like those guys won with a sucky line, handless wide receivers, and a worthless RB. Every great winning QB in history had a good line and a good RB.Troy just did it better than most, Which is why he has 3 ( repeat 3) Superbowl rings. He was proven to be most accurate thrower ever and was a brave as any soul could ever be.
