This is so good and such a great wake-up call because even as a frugal person, I sometimes fall for those traps.

This is so wise. I truly hate when I have to go the store for Milk & its so far, but because I'm in the marketing field it helps me alot to show the triggers of purchasing.

On point…the other thing I tend to fall for, is when buying online, if they tell me I am $20 away from free shipping, I tend to buy something else to hit that dollar amount.

Living frugally, a minimalist and buying only the necessities: food, I am debt free and stress free. Simple. If I don’t have the cash to buy it, I won’t. As I have never been materialistic, the corporate consumer bait tactics don’t work on me. I hate shopping and purchase a few things such as clothing online when needed. Fortunately for me, I retired this year and happily left the rat race. Stay clear of debt, stop giving your hard earned money to greedy, selfish, wealthy monster corporations and you’ll be stress free and happier. Be safe everyone.

I learned from my dad that credit cards are dangerous. He would get one from Macys, JC Penney, travel, cash rewards etc. Sometimes payments were made late and fines were charged. I have two and use them wisely. I do love TJ Maxx, I buy my undergarments, basic tops and all my skin care/body care/hair care. Plus I do pay off every month and there’s a month or two I have a $0.00 statement from not buying at all.

Honestly, the most convenient way for me to pay is with the folding green stuff. When I’m out of the walking-around money, I’m done. (It May be less convenient for the merchants, but that’s not my concern.)

Check your settings… auto fill information fairly common; it’s in your web browser and also your macs security setting (windows too)

Companies make it easy pay: Urber I never use but the company I work for wants everyone to have an account (they will reimburse for any work related trips). Setting up my account was scary since everything was autofilled and my AMEX was automatically put in the payment piece. Scary: I never used them before in my life and they knew my credit card number - no wonder data leaks are so common.

Can it be that your phone or computer had the cc data stored for autofill and not uber
@stevenporter8633 жыл бұрын
@@byronwest2858 No, never saved info and other companies didn't do that.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. Don’t spend money based upon free items offered.

Example is Amazon: free shipping if one more item. It is cheaper to just pay the shipping.

I returned something to Apple but they made my transaction hard to workout claiming its my bank.... when I was returning it the Apple genius claimed it would be a issue. somethings weird is going on.... but only purchase from them if I'm 100% sure

Some companies make returns really hard hoping customers will give up. If I run into that I make sure never to do business with them again and reverse the charge on my credit card (yet another reason to use a credit card and not debit card).
@tduck8283 жыл бұрын
Its a combo of both. Sucks because banks take money right away but take forever for refunds.

I compare prices. In my grocery store the 16 oz boxed greens(spinach and mixed greens) are less expensive than 10 oz of the other boxed lettuces/greens most of the time. I eat a lot of salads/greens.

Rachel thinks Door to Door salesman were in the 1980"s??? You only missed the actual mark by mostly 30 to 20 years. The 1950's to 60's were the major door to door selling bonanza years. There were a few before and slightly after. Rachel showed that she still has a little uninformed teenager in her with that comment. Lol.

Money is just paper (worthless), until you spend it. That's the only reason it exists. To spend. I want ZERO dollars to my name when they throw dirt on me.
