The rolling method did wonders! Thank you so much, I tough I'd never untie that rope! It was a rope tied for years that had between 120 to 220 kg on it from time to time.

Thank you so much! Had this really annoying knot on my shoelaces which i couldnt untie, and soaking it in the water and then untying worked. Appreciate the video.

Thank you very much! (soft) hammering took care of strap used to pull my stuck car out of trouble. Knot was rock-hard, but after small work with hammer i took it apart with no problems!

I keep hearing these success stories. I'm glad this was helpful. It's certainly frustrating if you have a rope or cord to use but can't get one stinkin knot out.

Dude you rock. I used a 800$ tugger rope to pull a hung up pine tree down. I incorrectly though my fisherman hangman knot was the correct knot for the job. It worked but a couple thousand pounds of pressure made my knot impossible. However, with time dish soap and the hammering method I have a fully functional tugger rope. I will have to learn a better knot from you in the future. Thank you.

That's awesome to hear that my video was able to save your $800 rope! Nice work!

The hammer method 🙌🏻 thank you!

That's certainly one of the most effective when it's really stuck...and when you can do it without damaging the rope.

More impressed that the rope held your weight and the branch didn't break.
@AdventuresInReach3 жыл бұрын
Ha. Yeah. I know the cordage is rated to 400 pounds, but it's so narrow that it seemed like it should break.

OMG I JUST UNTIED A KNOT I'VE BEEN BATTLING WITH FOR YEARSSSS, Literally. I genuinely didn't think it was gonna work😭😭😭 i soaked it in water, i don't have a hammer so i just used anything i could find (a mannequin💀) and it workedddd. Thank you😔
@AdventuresInReach5 ай бұрын
That's a new one...for the 7th method use a mannequin head to hit he knot--the back of the noggin is best... Happy to hear it worked for you and that you won the multiple year long battle. I needed to make a clothesline. I had a basketball hoop net to use for that clothesline. I am soaking it in water right now to loosen up the very delicate tight knots. It seems like I’m doing the right thing but tell me for sure by return email
@AdventuresInReach Жыл бұрын
That's a whole lot of knots to untie for a clothesline. Soaking is certainly one of the methods, which seems fitting for having that many. I would certainly be using the hammer method for that as well.

My guy line on my hammock has a ton of tiny TIGHT knots. These methods didnt budge the knots. I think they are too tiny and too tight
@darinmarek100 Жыл бұрын
Water and hammering allowed me to loosen a knot in two 12,000 pound slings that were knotted together and used to lift a heavy object. Initially I thought there was no way that I was going to get the knot untied. To my surprise It only took 2-3 minutes and voila, knot untied! I didn't even need to hit it very hard with my little ball peen hammer.
@AdventuresInReach Жыл бұрын
Score! I'm happy to hear that worked for you. It's surprising sometimes how little the strands need to start moving before it loosens.

I got mine undone with laundry detergent and water, thanks for posting!!
@AdventuresInReach2 жыл бұрын
Interesting. I suppose the laundry detergent would help make it slip. Sounds like a good idea as long as there aren't any chemicals that would harm the rope.
