Music is important (and I love music), but music is not necessary to be fervent in prayer. You can be passionate, intense, charged in prayer without it. I am talking from experience. As a young lady growing up in church without music (did not have funds to buy any), the excitement and love for Jesus were enough to bring vibrancy in what we were doing for Christ. And Jesus honoured that. Many times in prayer meeting all the music does is to play on your emotions with skipping, prancing etc and no actual prayer being done.

i have started a prayer meeting. the issue i am having is that no one comes... and i had to switch where we were meeting because the pastor forgot about the meeting 2 times leaving us locked out of the building. I am trying to not lose heart but its very hard when people really don't make time for prayer anymore unless its on Sunday morning.
