@@shiverrmetimberss underwriting typically takes about 2 weeks. Closing takes typically 5-10 weeks after that. Most of the time closing 5-6 weeks after commitment is possible if the borrower is very diligent about their closing checklist

You cannot borrow the down payment with the exception of borrowing against your own house which is only allowed if there is a source of repayment for that debt outside of the business.
