Finding someone with a fancy camera is always my go to! When we travelled Italy I always found old people with massive cameras and they got amazing pictures with my little point and shoot. When it comes to using my iPhone​ I always try to ask someone more my age.

you could also use a self timer, it's not always ideal and you'll probably need a tripod or something stable to put your camera or your phone but it's an idea I guess. If you're asking someone to take a picture on your phone, you could always ask someone young tho, or around the same age tbh

For when I travel, I like to take photos of me doing something other than just standing there and posing in front of the Eiffel Tower for example. A cool or more candid photo tends to get more likes, so I make fake candid photos. I turn on the timer for 10 seconds and I just kind of move around and fake laugh until I get a shot I like. Also, sitting in the street or posing in a non-traditional way gets more likes as well
