Thanks so much I needed this video. I just gave birth to my second child and also have a toddler adjusting. She is so loving towards her brother and having to say calm down or no kissing just breaks my heart when she is just showing affection. Hearing another mom say the same things I am feeling makes me feel like I am not going crazy!! Keep up the good work Mama! Love your videos :)

I love your honesty and I feel like I can totally relate. I also feel like after you have a baby you feel sad because your baby isn't inside your belly anymore as weird as that sounds, but after I had my son I was overjoyed that I had him physically and could hold him. It was the feeling of him safe inside me kicking that I missed. Every woman is different. Now my son Abel (love the biblical name too! 😉) is 2! Always make sure you get a break! Me time is still important as a Mom. My husband and I are planning to have our second and I can't wait! Love your videos! ❤️

Michelle McLaren Agreed! Postpartum life is filled with so many emotions. It's a blessing, beautiful and scary all at the same time. It's important to take time for yourself, as well as making time for date nights with your spouse.

I 100% agree with you on feeling in a funk or a haze after delivery. It has happened to me with both of my boys & going from one child to two children was a way harder adjustment for me!! I felt like I was going to lose my mind trying to keep up with my two year old while my newborn needed my attention. Especially choosing to nurse!! It's hard & I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way. Hugs to you & your beautiful family!! You look amazing & I'm happy to hear you are feeling good!

Love that you talked about PP baby blues! Not a lot of women do and when you experience it (like I did), it can feel so lonely and scary! I recently wrote a blog entry all about it and got a LOT of feedback from so many mamas who experienced it! I love your videos, you look great!!
@kristinalin37 жыл бұрын
One great phrase I use when I'm telling my kids what I want them to do is 'we are telling you what to do because we know what's best for you right now and when you're older you can make these decisions but until then you need to listen so we can keep you safe/healthy/having fun/...' That way it explains why you can tell them what to do but they can't tell you! Otherwise it just seems unfair from their view. 😂

Some people say there is fourth trimester, the third being the first 3 months after you have the baby, first 6 weeks for healing but all of it for adjustment and getting to know your baby, your new life etc. I do think it applies, at least to me. With my first the handling and learning about baby care took me the 3 months to feel confident and comfortable . And now with my second i need this time to adjust our family life to being family of 4. I feel that being a family of 4 is much harder than family of 3.
