Hi friends, today we're chatting about all things early pregnancy. This is my 5th pregnancy and hopefully the one that will bring us our earthside baby. After 4 miscarriages and 5+ years of infertility and IVF, this pregnancy is a result of our 3rd IVF Transfer.

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME AND MY CHANNEL
I’m local to Kansas City but grew up a military brat so travel is in my blood! I married my college sweetheart, Anthony, in 2015. We’re absolutely obsessed with our two fur babies Xander and Willow. (Any other Buffy fans?) Anthony and I knew early on in our relationship that we wanted to have kids as soon as possible. We’ve been fighting the uphill battle of infertility for 5+ years now. Here on my channel, you’ll see a lot of videos pertaining to our trying to conceive (TTC) journey.
Though infertility does not define us, it has been a life-altering thing to go through. We find that this taboo topic is something we want to shine a light on by sharing our raw and real emotions through it. A few other things you’ll see on my channel pertain to lifestyle and wellness. Whether that be mental wellness, physical wellness, and beyond. A few other fun facts about me, I love to binge-watch a good show, sipping on some delicious coffee, and I’m probably planning my next vacation.

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Sometimes I resent that we live in a society that is so uncomfortable with grief and anxiety that people feel like they have to say something positive, even when we just need them to sit with us in the unknown and accept our feelings for what they are instead of needing to "fix" them. It's totally okay and valid to be anxious and guard your heart after the trauma of multiple losses. You don't owe the world positivity. I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant with #8 after 7 early losses, and one thing that was the hardest for me was the assumption that because we finally have a viable pregnancy, it now magically doesn't matter that we lost 7 others. Even though I am thankful for this little one, those babies are still real to me and I will always grieve for them. A rainbow baby doesn't magically make years of trauma and grief meaningless. Plus, I know all too well that even at this point, a healthy, living baby is never guaranteed.

I had a cervical polyp at 9 weeks that made me bleed. Scared the crap out of me after 2 losses and 7 years of infertility. Had a healthy pregnancy and baby is now almost 4 months old 🥰

When I read “bleeding” my first thought was my God can this girl catch a break!!? After all you’ve been through, of course you’d have bleeding to spice up your pregnancy! I feel you about the gender and guarding your heart. We had a successful transfer recently (with PGS tested embryo) and decided to wait until further along in the pregnancy find out the gender. Its unspoken but I think my husband and I just don't want to get too attached too soon. I hope your scan next week is prefect in everyway and you have amazing and fun gender reveal.

My family is a big believer on, “prepare for the worst, hope for the best and enjoy the now!” I know that it’s hard but I pray that you will have a good ultrasound. Know that people’s thoughts and prayers are with you when you’re walking into that ultrasound room. You are never alone God always walks with you in all the dark places you must walk. Praying so much for you and Anthony. I had two miscarriages and then with this pregnancy had red spotting and was convinced I was having a miscarriage. The spotting lasted until 11 weeks, but I was never diagnosed with an SCH. I was so depressed until 17 weeks, because I was so afraid to get attached to this baby only to lose it. I'm sharing that you aren't alone in your ptsd and it's completely normal to feel this way. I am praying so much for you and that sweet babe of yours and hope you get great news on Monday! I say this with a heavy heart… I’m beyond broken by the same experience with the same number of miscarriages, and the bleeding scares which for me always ended up in a miscarriage. I felt every word you said.. down to the part about not being able to feel positive even after hearing positive comments.. I immediately scrolled to the top to see if all was well with you this time. I just had this gut feeling that it was. I am so so happy to see this blessing finally happen for you both even though I’m a stranger. You give me hope Doll. Even on a tough day like today where I feel like a test subject , and I’ve had a sonohysterography and a uterus biopsy all in one. I feel you Kelsie! I had a bleeding then spotting from 6weeks to 7weeks... once i saw the blood I thought this was over😢 so i scheduled an ultrasound and turned out everything was fine! I saw the baby looking like a gummy bear with a beating heart.. i couldn’t believe it😭 although after this i was worried during the whole pregnancy but thankfully i gave birth to a healthy baby boy who is now 7months😍 i am praying everything is going to turn out great for you too🥰

I had bright red bleeding at 6 weeks 6 days, thought for sure it was a miscarriage , went for an ultrasound baby had a strong heartbeat. Had another bright red bleeding at 8 weeks 5 days, went in for another ultrasound, baby is thriving, now I'm 13 weeks no more bleeding but I still feel anxious. I don't think I will relax until baby is in my arms.

I had my transfer on the 29th of Jan unfortunately it was not successful but we'll be trying again in April if God allows. Hearing your successful story gives me lots of hope. I'm super happy for you. Congrats. Praying you have an awesome pregnancy and beautiful healthy baby.

God I hate hearing that people can't have a partner in the room with them! Missed miscarriage comes with so much PTSD and it is so unfair when it is possible to make the room safe! Regardless of that, I am praying so much that it's a beautiful scan, and that everyone after that is just as beautiful!

Yes definitely horrible to go through all alone. I went through this in December, every week going alone to ultrasounds, I had a missed miscarriage, I had to go through a DnC alone since partner was not able to be with me. I don't wish this on noby

Don’t worry too much about symptoms, if you don’t get many! I had a few waves of nausea like you, and then zero morning sickness. After 4 losses, I wanted it!! 😂 But I’m glad I’m hindsight I didn’t get it. I did get some headaches, and fatigue. I know the feeling of being so guarded and not allowing yourself to be happy yet. I started bleeding when I was 15 weeks and it ended up being a hematoma. I’ve had miscarriages too and it was terrifying. Luckily the pregnancy turned into a healthy baby girl who is 3 years old now. 😍

Hi congratulations on your pregnancy i was only 26 years old when i started my ivf journey. My two top quality embryo didnt work and it was so emotional to face the reality. But 2020 was our year i got pregnant with my 3rd embryo transfer and at 6 weeks it started to bleed. I was panicking that what is going wrong so rang the clinic they told me to take more pessaries. And 7 weeks scan we found out that baby has heartbeat .yeehhhh worth the wait. I am currently 21 weeks pregnant. Plz keep me in your prayers 🙏

My son was an IVF pregnancy & I had spotting until around 10 weeks or so, off & on. No SCH or anything, just unexplained & they always said everything looks “normal”. Don’t know if that helps you any but he’s 16 months now.

You got this!!! I have a great feeling, this time this is it! You're bringing your little nugget home! Praying for safe 9 months!!! Just one piece of advice, do not buy baby stuff before hand, it's very common in most cultures, usually wait for till the end of the pregnancy, or at least closer to the due date. Just to be on a safety note. It is hard to stay positive after all you've been through, but it's better to keep your mind out of it, trying to enjoy little stuff like going to a date with you hubby, or watching comedies, smile a lot, to keep your mood positive. And I'm sure everything will be great. All the luck and health to you both!

I had a huge SCH with my second at 13w and was put on near bedrest. Your body will reabsorb the blood as time goes on and they go away usually within a few weeks. Shewas a champ through it and is now almost 2. I understand your heart is gaurded. Its really scary and hard going through those traumas. Im 11w with #3 and my heart remembers how scared i was just going through a SCH. Praying for you girl!

Take it one step at a time :) God be with you! I’m excited! Bleeding early in early pregnancy is norma. Very scary but normal. I had bleeding even clots I thought for sure miscarriage and nope :) baby was fine and healthy bled for the first trimester old blood then new. This baby came here to stay with you. Let go the fears enjoy every second of it. Don’t plan ahead :) it’s good to have some ideas but wait on it until further along :D. I can’t wait until I see you carry your long wished baby!

I’ve got a little miracle rainbow baby girl after IVF, third transfer as well, and I remember how hard it was to feel like you can’t get excited the way you want to with PTSD and Covid restrictions on top of all that. I got away with having my husband in for all ultrasounds during Covid because I have a disability and the ultrasound places were so accommodating.

Congrats, I am sending prayers for comfort for you and your family and friend, for knowledgeable medical staff. I lost my first three and was on bed rest with my fourth, first live birth. With my next pregnancy, I had my child in the front seat of our car and with my final, I went into labor six weeks early. I ended up having three miscarriages and three children, a daughter, and two sons. Praying for you and a healthy baby. I totally get the covid thing. One week from today hubs is having a heart valve replaced and I have to leave the hospital when they take home to the or, which is beyond scary because he also has dementia. I think that is horrible that your support person can’t go in the for the ultrasound. Where I live certain offices allow it and others don’t. I would only go to one that does. Not only is it horrible for someone who has ptsd from recurrent loss (or just the possibility to receive bad news alone even if you haven’t experienced that before) but to also take that away from the spouse. It’s just as exciting and special to the spouse (at least for my husband it is). ANYWAY I think if you so often and am praying so hard for everything to go well!

Glad I stumbled on your vlog. Hubby and I were due to start IVF this month but have to sit this cycle out due to a cyst. Fingers and toes crossed that IVF is a go for next month (start stims on the 10th of March). Keep us posted on your journey! Will keep you in my prayers x
