My 6 year old contemporary solo, Departure, from my third year of competitive dance. At Hall of Fame Dance Challenge: 1st Place Overall Petite (ages 8 and under, out of over 40 solos) in the Future Hall of Famer Division, First Place Platinum, and a technical excellence award.

I’m sorry but the people commenting “needs more dancing” you do realize she’s 6 right??? There is only so much dancing a child can do at that age. She obviously has god given natural talent and the older she gets the more she’ll be able to add more dancing into that talent. But for her age this was a flawless routine.

Why did so many people downvote this video? Ella always has amazing dances and really portrays emotion of her dances through her face very well. She's incredibly talented! Definitely among the elite in my mind. I have a 5 year old that's in dance, and seeing what Ella could do at only 6 is just kind of insane. I'm sure her coaches and parents had a huge role in that, but you can definitely tell she's got lots of dedication either way.

What impressed me the most is the emotion she portrays and how it naturally exudes from her. Many adult dancers haven’t got that down as well as this amazing six year old. Her emotional energy comes from sheer natural talent and is an inspirational. This baby girl has and is something remarkably special and extraordinarily rare. What true passion!!

Brought tears to my eyes. I have watched Dance Moms for years and have become conditioned to watching excellence in young girls who dance. When you have flexibility you will use more tricks because you are able. I enjoyed watching them as well as the control, facial expressiveness, and the awareness that comes with such control. I have watched this, read the comments, then watched this again to be sure of what I am about to comment here. I see ALOT of jealousy in these comments. " This is not dancing". This is most certainly dancing. " This is a bunch of tricks." Hmmmm maybe again only that you wish you could achieve? Let's break this down, and I will refer to young Ella as the dancer, as it is, fitting for the description. Dancer enters the stage using her best version of the modern dancers walk neither the ballet " tip toe" or running walk. Kudos to teacher for the clean entrance. Teacher smartly picks a piece of music young dancer can pick up the 1234 rhythm in and dancer again using Graham inspired movement ( not that I would know .. I'm just some chick watching a kid dance ) uses deep plie inspired walks into a safely inspired heel up deep lunge again kudos teacher for using safe movement for this young body. Heel down unsafe.. to easy to pop a variety of muscles Achilles tendon ... that lovely hamstring. Kudos teacher. From which the dancer uses her knowledge of corners to make a beautiful shape before safely PUTTING HER HANDS DOWN TO DROP INTO A VERY SAFE SLOW CONTROLLED SET UP TO ROLL INTO A WALK OVER THAT AGAIN SAFELY SINKS TO THE FLOOR. this teacher put the safety of this child first in this routine. While showcasing her vast talent. Teacher seemingly has studied true modern dance. I see Graham inspired, Duncan inspired, all the true basics in there. Not a blend of jazz and lyrical labelled " modern" Before you criticize best know what you are talking about hmmm? Kudos to dancer and teacher Truly a beautiful inspired routine based on TRUE Modern dance. Martha and Isadora would be proud Bravo teacher Bravo Ella

Wow! She is doing the headstand my dance class said was really hard at six?! Not even the owners daughter which is a teen can do that! I am really impressed by the flexibility in this dance and everything 😮!
