I have seen The Lion King twice when it came to my town. SO GOOD! I have also seen Thoroughly Modern Millie, Urinetown, and Movin' Out in NYC and all were great! Movin' Out is all dancing with no speaking parts but it is still fantastic!

I went on a trip to NYC when i was in high school, about 5 years ago I am pretty sure i was a junior, and saw The Little Mermaid. It was AMAZING! All my friends and their moms or chaperones saw Chicago or Phantom of the Opera but I chose The Little Mermaid. Just me and my mom. We both loved it!

I have seen Avenue Q in New York and then in London I have seen Chicago, Priscilla Queen of thr Desert, Billy Elliott, The Lion King, Wicked... I am sure there are more but I am blanking. I saw Rent recently in my home town. I think you guys would looove Wicked. My husband and I saw it when we first started dating. Also you guys have the same anniversary as my parents. I work in theatre in NYC so when you guys mentioned seeing a Broadway show I got really excited. I would definitely recommend something classic like The Lion King or Wicked. Both have been running on Broadway for over a decade for a reason. Or something like Cinderella or Matilda, because they are both great. But, also keep in mind that Broadway shows can get REALLY expensive. If you're looking to spend a day in the city and see a show, I would recommend going to a TKTS booth, in Times Square, South Street Seaport, or Downtown Brooklyn. You have to wait in line for a significant amount of time, but you can score tickets to both musicals and/or plays for a fraction of the price from the box office of the theater. There's a TKTS app for smartphones, if you want to download it to see what's available at the booths that day. Feel free to message me here on KZbin if you have any questions :)
