Felling big timber in rough terrain will often cause breakage, just the "nature of the beast". Thanks for the video.

That falling break(aka timber break) was nasty. Possible causes: falling tree into a gully, falling tree onto rocks or other downed timber. Another cause could have been the tongs on the shovel (heel boom) squeezing the logs too tight while loading the logging truck. Good thing the sawyer and the tail sawyer (off-bearer) were on the ball as this log could have created a whole lot of misery. I know. Been there, done that!
