Ronald Reagan when riding a horse fell off. Resulting injury he sustained was close-head (non skull fracture) brain trauma. Effect of the the head trauma resulted in fluid filling into the cavity (tiny space) between skull and brain. To relieve the mounting pressure on his brain a simple surgery was performaned. The side of his head where the surgical procedure occurred was shaved prior to the performance of the operation.
