I am at the beginning of my "investment journey", planning to put 85K into dividend stocks so that I will be making up to 30% per year in dividend returns. Any advice?

Investing without proper guidance can lead to mistakes and losses. I've learned this from my own experience.If you're new to investing or don't have much time, it's best to get advice from an expert.

The issue is people have the "I want to do it myself mentality" but not equipped enough for a crash, hence get burnt. Ideally, advisors are reps for investing jobs, and at first-hand encounter, my portfolio has yielded over 300% since 2020 just after the pandemic to date.

convinced that investing $50k-100k in the right company before it goes big is better than just saving for retirement. But since picking the right company is hard, saving might be safer-who would’ve guessed SPGI? I have $200k in a HYSA and want to invest. What are the best opportunities now?

I find it more productive and safe to buy growth/blue-chip stocks rather than etfs. It's advisable to work with a fiduciary advisor for well-diversified portfolios instead of relying solely on speculations.

I agree with you. As an early investor in NVDA, AVGO, ANSS, and LRCX, my financial advisor's advice was incredibly helpful. Over the past 7 years, she has helped me find stocks that did 10x multiple times. With her help, I've grown my portfolio to over a million dollars.

I've heard the stock market often does well during election years. I recently inherited a lump sum and want to invest it wisely to take advantage of this potential upswing. Do you have any tips or strategies?
@ThomAlexanderGmaan13 күн бұрын
A good portfolio should have three basic things: ETFs for diversification, dividend stocks for cash flow, and leading tech stocks. When starting especially with a lump sum, it's a good idea to talk to a fiduciary advisor for expert advice.
@Duttonmuffins13 күн бұрын
I believe every Investor should start with ETFs for a solid foundation, then diversify across asset classes and maintain disciplined, regular investing to minimize risks and maximize growth.

You don't need to find the next NVDA to succeed in investing. Just choose top-notch ETFs and partner with a financial advisor like I did. I turned $100k into $40,000 in annual dividends-a significant milestone for me today.

I've been considering getting one, but haven't been proactive about it. Can you recommend your advisor? I could really use some assistance.
@JesseMayhill13 күн бұрын
I'm cautious about giving specific recommendations as everyone's situation varies. Consider independent financial advisors like "Melissa Elise Robinson" I've worked with her for 6 years and highly recommend her. Check if she meets your criteria.

I'm from London, I remember when the Indians came here in the 70s, they immediately opened shops, started the rag trade (clothing production) and used their skills, doctor's, dentists etc. They have done very well in the UK as immigrants.

That's what Indians do anywhere they go..even the parsis and Jews do the same as well. There's that one community that always creates problems everywhere they go.

Solid advice on risk management and letting your winners run. I’ve been applying a similar strategy in my investments, especially with my crypto IRA on My Digital Money. Anyone else here using a concentrated approach in their crypto portfolio?

At 35 minute mark, Manish says he never visit any plant or talk to management. But when he was referring to Indian electricity company, according to him he went to see their plant in New Delhi and everybody seemed not working at all. Same thing was said about American Tower. Which is correct? He won't visit plants or he does? Thanks.
@TheFinancialEconomics2 ай бұрын
Mostly he won't, but many times he has mentioned that he has visited offices on his Turkey investments.
