Amazing how utterly modern the 727 looks in a contemporary livery and winglets. Shows how classic the design is.

Unfortunately it has been reported that that particular Boeing 727 M-STAR has officially been retired and is to be cut up for scrap!
@Pesmog10 ай бұрын
@@marquesdean5075 I saw M-STAR arrive at Stansted on its pre-retirement flight as it stopped there for Customs and passports before making the short hop to the scrap line. I travelled to see it as I figured I may never see another 727 flying again. It was worth it as the aircraft still looked great. 👍

@@Pesmog Hard to believe that the plane is going to be scrapped,it looks like it was brand new. Maybe the airframe reached it's cycle limit. It would have been nice to see that 727 go to a museum somewhere rather then meet the scrap man's axe!

I live under the flight path to PTK (in Michigan) and I often hear the 727 from IFL Group coming straight in for final. No need to look out the window -- its sound gives it away! But yes, B-727 is a lovely plane. Too bad everything nowadays is the same boring design with two engines under the wings.

Why do old things feel better than new things? Is it because they are rare? Would we feel the same way if this was the 70s and 80s where they were commonplace, or would we prefer the even older prop planes like the Constellation?

Interesting, I thought that Europe would have such strict noise rules. Yes there are some older vids in this compilation and also vids of outside of the EU. But most of these planes are loud AF and are captured in europe. I Believe that even AMS has the most strict noise regulations in the world? So how can 707's and 727's still fly around in europe? while using a 737-200 as private jet is strictly forbidden due to noise regulations. So strange. In 2030 all chapter 3 & even Chapter 4 aircraft should be banned in europe. That means all 737 classics like the -300's -400's. And also the 737NG's Thats insanly fast considering there are still many around. som NG's are still very young. I get these noise restrictions. But at the same time. The airport existed already before you bought that house directly under the glideslope. So I don't pitty those people complaining. In my opinion they have no right to complain. The houses near airporst are very cheap because of it. So you make that choice yourself. If you cant sleep then remember that you chose to live there. Anyway its sad to see old birds dissapear mostly due to noise regulations. I rather see planes die by getting old. Instead of being forced to die due to rules.
