The receiver is only rated for 6 volts. If you change the BEC voltage to 7.4 volts, you'll fry the stock receiver.

Has a laser/water jet cut motor mount made out of plate! I know plate is fairly flat, and it probably doesn’t make a realistic difference but if it’s machined it’s guaranteed to be square. I know laser cutting is cheaper but it just looks a bit cheaply made for that price, especially with so much plastic on there.

I would never buy the Jato VXL at this price. You can get a 6s 1/8 buggy around the $500 price point. $499 for an Arrma 6s Typhon. $489 for Team Corally Spark B6. $419 for Arrma Typhon TLR Roller (add your own electronics). $349 for Team Corally Spark B6 Roller (add your own electronics). You can run these buggies on 4s or you can pick up a 4s Team Corally Syncro4 for $329. Earth to Traxxas-what planet are you on?

Wow 530 bucks! You can get a typoon 6s for that. 1/8 buggies are typically 4 to 6s. This has a velinion 1/10 system. Id be embarrased showing up race day with one of these. This is an overpriced toy literally.

I saw that video as well. Now we all know he is getting his stuff for free, but it was hysterical. I have no opinion on this car other than I did not buy it. Went with a TC Syncro4, Typhon 223 (for my daughter), and the inferno neo 3?0 vs for my wife. I have plenty of Slashes, but decided to try two new brands (for me), and old school Kyosho.

If you want to run 7.4 volts you'll need to change BOTH the servo and the receiver/ radio combo. At that point, you might as well spring for all new electronics. Kinda dumb to make an ESC that has a BEC capable of 7.4 volts if the stock receiver and servo are not compatible with the higher voltage. Traxxas is REALLY out of touch these days. Not just on price, but on basic common sense.
