love this course. I've gone to courses in Sur America, taken pimsleur and duo lingo, etc. and used workbooks, and this format of clear articulation and pronunciation and repetition is what is needed. I may sign up for the course because I need some writing material.

Hi guys! I know this place is to learn Spanish but it's the only way I have in mind to have Americans who can tell me if I'm doing it right so I'm learning how to use "though" at the end of a sentence, are the following sentences correct? 1. She is pretty. She is not my type, though. 2. He liked his job. It was not for him, though. 3. My cellphone works pretty cool. I'll change it, though. 4. I'm starving. I don't think I will cook, though. 5. This new word is amazing. I'm still struggling with it, though. Thanks. (I speak Spanish)
@ok-tb8ve4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it’s right. (I’m Australia) Others correct me if I’m wrong but I think that the commas before the though aren’t really necessary. You could also use ‘Although’ at the beginning of sentences or as a conjunction. For example: She was pretty, although she wasn’t my type. Or Although she was pretty, she wasn’t my type.

Hola Rosa! Thank you for being a good teacher :) Speaking slowly is great but breaking the words up...not so much. Speak naturally, breaking the words up sounds like someone is talking down to another....reminds me of Chris Tucker speaking to Jackie Chan in Rush Hour lol
@DerrickAHayes4 жыл бұрын
I appreciate you breaking the words down Rosa. It helps my wife and myself understand each syllable. Speed in speaking will come in time!
@hiddentreasure23984 жыл бұрын
Hi Rosa, I agree that speaking slowly and more naturally is better than breaking the words down. I enjoy your lessons. Keep up the good work and stay safe.

I thought 'ternera' is veal and beef is 'carne de vaca'. What gives?
@pompikaushal46044 жыл бұрын
You are absolutely right! It's she who is wrong not you. "Ternera" indeed means "veal" and beef is, called as you have rightly said "Carne de vaca" and in some countries it's "carne de res". Chao!
@DerrickAHayes4 жыл бұрын
Could it be because she is speaking Castilian?
@AlxxcaXe4 жыл бұрын
Carne de vaca means cow meat (which is I'm pretty sure beef) in Moldova and romania
