the point at the end of hook needs to hit the head of the fish at the end of animation, they need to make the hitbox bigger and do it like old games, perfect, good, bad, no hit

I had extremely thick fog the other day. Like I couldn't even see 10 ft in front of the boat thick.

One thing that helped me learn to long line fish was hitting TAB and reading the HELP menu. The devs explain how long to leave the lines soaking and more. We definitely need a way to sell gear and other inventory items. Maybe some update soon.

With the hooking, maybe try aim for the point where the fish is connected to the wire, as it seems as though you catch them when you do that

Net fishing has been pulled out of the game for now because it is broken but nets will be back at some point

i wonder if it is a distance thing with grabbing the fish. maybe you need to stand a little farther from the side of the boat

You are waiting too long/standing too close. You are thinking of the hitbox as where you are clicking, the hitbox is where the end of the hook actually is. You need to hit the head (fish hitbox) with the end of the stick ( hook hitbox) at the end of its travel, ignore the dot and for the love of god stop spamming the hook! A neat trick is if you miss you can backup quickly and can sometimes get the chance for a second swing.

It looks to me like you aren't picking up the mechanic they seem to imply with their animations... You have a stick with a hook-nail, and when you successfully snag a fish, your stick is hooked into their mouth. If they're trying to simulate the action as close as a mouse-and-keyboard game will let them, then it's more than likely the hitbox isn't the fish's head, it's the fish's _mouth._ Don't just aim for the fish's head. _Aim for the mouth._ And time it so your swing animation tags it and stop flailing like Crash Bandicoot. You're being a bit too twitchy. SToP beInG TwITchy!!!
