600 Amp | Lithium Ion | Club Car Drag Race

The golf cart industry has been raving about Roy Pow and Navitas products so we built a cart with their parts and were blown away with the performance.
Watch as we take an Electric Club Car Precedent with 105AH Roy Pow Lithium Ion Battery and 600 Amp 5KW Navitas Package and drag race it against other carts!
A few things we were surprised by was the acceleration of the AC Yamaha as it came in 2nd place in both the 50' and 100' race. We were also impressed with the Gas Club Car Precedent as it nearly tied the AC Yamaha in the 150' race.
We strongly recommend having rear seatbelts on a cart if you have the Roy Pow/Navitas package as it will literally throw you right off the back of the cart if the driver punches the throttle.

Did you use a single 36v 105Ah Roy Pow battery with the 600A navitas controller? Or did you have to parallel multiple batteries to achieve enough amps to run the controller? Or did you use a power limiter.

Hey Toby! This was a single 48V 105AH Roy Pow with 600Amp kit. Discharge was set to 180 or so on the Navitas app. If it was a P version of the Roy Pow the discharge can be set to 280 or so which is even a next level of acceleration compared to the standard 105 you see in this video. And then the 72V Roy Pow is an entirely different story in terms of acceleration lo.

That’s kinda a bs test since only one had the Navitas upgrade… put that same controller on the Yamaha with a lipo and you would get the same result…

Your comment is kinda of BS lol. I didn't make the title "drag race between golf carts with navitas kits". If I did, then your comment would make a lot more sense. We did a drag race with a wide variety of golf carts and highlighted how fast the Navitas package can make a golf cart. I never said the Yamaha wouldn't produce the same result. The purpose of the entire video was to see what kind of torque/speed you should expect from any cart in this race.

Hey Bryan, Apache gear out of Phoenix Arizona makes a gear kit for Lithium Onwards. Cart will do 30mph with different gearing.
