@Dawud Suleiman I as well have a E90 335I, in Titan Silber. 68k miles on the clock. Heavily modified all carbon fiber molds with pure turbos pushing 550 horsepower. Absolute beast, we call it the super sedan. Plan on keeping it forever.

Because of the blow-off sound in acceleration drop-off, I guess a centrifugal supercharger is used here. Since it is Europe, I suppose, it is Rotrex. And because of the V8 and 600hp, I think, you are using Rotrex C38-92. Good choice 👍

As ALWAYS avoid unnecessary engine braking from high rpms. Never step of the accelerator completely, keep your foot on it so the cylinders get cooled with fuel. IF you want to step of the pedal completely put the stickshift in neutral and just roll. When repeatedly stepping of the pedal from high rpms and reamaining in gear the cylinders will build excessive heat, and if unlucky you will end up with what is called "kolbenfresser" in german...This applies to all cars of all makes!

You confuse it with a 2 stroke. A piston requires cooling which is mostly provided by the oil film between the sleeve and the piston. A 4 stroke pumps oil and often even have oil jets to help cooling down pistons. With a 2 stroke this isn't the case, and cooling is provided by the oil in the fuel. No fuel means no oil and thus no cooling. So closing the throttle there might result in a seized engine. This was't impossible to happen on the old Saab 2 stroke engines for example

@@bartjanflikkema No I'm not confusing with a 2 stroke. For instance the S38B38 was (and is) a bit sensitive for "completely stepping of the gaspedal" from high rpm's. No not if its done occasionally, but done repeatedly through the years will indeed cause damages. Regardless of make/engine I always try to remember "Do not step of the gas, better to put in it neutral". I have seen pictures of S3B38 failed after a top-speed run when the owner stepped of the gas and was slowing down, and that's when the heat became too much and sometimes burn ta hole through the piston. Would they instead have put the car in neutral and let the engine idle while slowing down then the engine would most likely have survived.

The only downside is the gas milage. Install a stereo upgrade with car play and they are as modern as anything. And are delightfully analog. Mine has been very reliable.

I have one of these with a Vortech supercharger and Water/Meth injection, it puts down about the same power and torque (600hp, 700Nm). It's no faster than the stock car 0-100km, as traction is always an issue, the rear wheels want to spin with the slightest provocation. It's a lot of fun though, and it was the last M5 with a real Manual gearbox, and that makes it perfect for me :)
