It looks awesome but to me the 24 fps has that charm. And the 60 is the soft one that makes u feel fuzzy inside
@ssapgaming4 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I agree. But in most case, that fuzziness is coming from inaccurate interpolation.

Ye. Im guessing its also the way the 24 is made cuz there are some solid skips in motion that the ai doesnt know what to do with and its pretty cool to see

I think that 60 FPS is smooth but it’s better in 24 fps because it’s meant to feel like a dream. The music video is supposed to be Snailchan’s dream.

Or, 24 fps is better because IT IS THE ORIGINAL ARTISTIC INTENT OF THE ANIMATION.
@amcheeze67822 жыл бұрын
For once a 60FPS doesn't look like shit.🤣 It felt a lot smoother at various moments, but GOD the moments where you had tk see the buildings move messed with my eyes..😅 I feel that this animation and art style mixed with the watercoloring actually meshes really well with the AI. It seems to hide the... awkward😒... transitions rather well. All in all not bad. Woukd watch either one.
@SpartanLaserCanon3 жыл бұрын
This is proof that the less FPS one is still smooth. Heck, the AI that is used in videos like this so far have given me nausea once I have notices some sketchy looking frames happening so I'd rather not deal with it, but I like that this proves that the original is still pretty smooth. I will wait until other versions of that kind of AI tech comes out too look at more videos like this, great song though.

that pan at 1:42 is freaking buttery now the movement in 2:54 felt a bit choppy in the original, it's nice to feel the movement more fluidly sick
@precisecalibre69864 жыл бұрын
It's an interesting exercise when it all comes down to it. That's pretty much it. Definitely not an enhancement in this case. The original was done the way it was for a reason. In the original, the frames themselves breathe with the timing of the music, while the 60fps feels more soulless. At least that's my view on it.
@the8u93 жыл бұрын
It's a fun experiment for sure :) though the 24fps was chosen deliberately to generate a certain feel, so it's the "intended" viewing experience. Still, it's always cool to know what it looks like in 60!

60fps isnt the intended frame rate so it jitters so much like there is greese smeared all over the screen. I really hope 60fps interpolation never takes off. Artist intend is 100% the most important aspect of all art.

sure it has its appeal filling frames that where missing but everytime i see one of these vids it feels choppy, heres a tip when theres a jumpcut.. dont try to fill frames..this one warps the whole image.. but the part where the star hits the tower.. this dude... would be awesome when the whole video would look like this
@Zebulization4 жыл бұрын
my human brain could see no real difference. Did the original have artifacts or tearing? The art style doesn't lend it self to crisp lines, or sharp edges. What is the benefit to making this type of animation 60fps? would I have been more likely to notice if I used a larger screen? Edit: Mag Park explained that I had incorrect monitor settings to view 60 fps, and the image was defaulting to a lower resolution.
@ssapgaming4 жыл бұрын
nop. you need to set your resolution at 720p60 or 1080p60. Else, it will show you 30fps. Original one is 24fps. 24 pictures per second. 24fps and 30fps are no difference That makes sence because the minimal number of picture needed to reconize videos are 24.(or less) But 24fps is not enough. normal PC or smartphone is 60fps. Gaming stuff even works with 240fps. So AI makes missing pictures. If you are hard to notice differences, and try at 2:23. look at her hair waving. or at the start (book and paper falling), they move smoother.

Yeah it does kinda bug me a little they did this without probably asking permission with Snails’s house and the people that made the animation (not even some credit to the animators)
