My first year in the Army was in 1993. I met Gen Powell his last year when he retired. He visited my Ammo bunker at the ASP. He found me and asked me about my work and and my family at home. He gave me a challenge coin. Great man…

Colin Powell is overrated, he was part of the swamp. He and his boss (GW Bush) lied, cheated trying to get U.N. to vote for Iraq war, making up WMD as excuses. He was a poster boy for identity politics. The only reason he was famous was due to his ethnicity.

We lost a good man , an understatement for sure, a four star general, a former United States General, medals given for honor it goes on, highly decorated general who we were so lucky to have especially after 9-11. With his quiet demeanor, dignity, poise, intelligence, he rose to the top , played an important part after 9-11 in helping to strategize the beginning of the war with Iraq. We lost a “good man” but more than that an example of a highly decorated general with such great humility, that always struck me , about Colin Powell what quiet dignity this man possessed , he will be sorely missed and go down in our future history books as “ a great man who possessed that quiet dignity” RIP General Colin Powell , may you rest easy, when God welcomed you He must have said “ Job well done”. My sympathies I offer the entire Powell family in their time of sorrow God Bless the family to gently “let go peacefully”.

@@cynthiahusband106 -A four star general that lied about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction. Nothing was found and your four star general never had the balls to admit he was wrong. History will remember him and so will the mothers of military men who died in the war against Iraq. I lost a few friends and some of them suffer from PTSD. I'm just glad I didn't join the military after High School mid 90s, other wise this war criminal would have sent me to war in 2001 under Bush's administration. Colin Powell is a four star general, but I happen to like four star generals than don't lie.

I have always admired this strong but gentle man. He needs to be talk about in Government and history classes. Service to this country is admirable but only if you realize you represent the USA in uniform or not. When we travel we represent our country as we travel from country to country. Remember the people who serve you work hard and I always left a perfume from our country a.long with the tip for the lady who cleaned our room. Colin Powell was respected because of the way he represents himself and the quiet confident way he talks to our public ..He was what we needed to see and kudos to his parents for instilling good values as a child, and he listened.

And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. And life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing). And as for him who will be given his Record (of deeds) in his left hand, will say: "I wish that I had not been given my Record!" وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ "And that I had never known how my Account is!" يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ "Would that it (death) had been my end!" مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ ۜ "My wealth has not availed me." هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ "My power have gone from me!" That was because you had been exulting in the earth without any right, and that you used to rejoice extremely (in your error). That Home of the Hereafter (i.e. Paradise), We shall assign to those who rebel not against the truth with pride and oppression on the earth, nor do mischief by committing crimes. And the good end is for the Muttaqun (the pious - God-fearing). [Al-Qasas 28:83]

Ummm. No. It doesn't a-hole. Because he had blood cancer, s____head. That's what he died of actually. At 84 years old, weakened by his blood cancer, he had a slight breakthrough infection. That was enough to end his life. But he wasn't killed by Covid. If he were younger and completely healthy, his body would have had no problem dealing with that breakthrough infection. As many many others have already done. But when you are 84 and have cancer, that infection can do you in. Same as if he had a cold. But no one would say he died of a cold. Meanwhile thousands and thousands of healthy people are dying of Covid because they didn't get vaccinated. That's what speaks volumes about the vaccine.

@Jackson Hughes ??? How is Bernie Sanders the worst? Tf do you think is good politics? Running government like a business? Letting business interests run rampant? A Washington owned by billionaires? You’re no better than any CNN sheep. In fact, you’re worst. You’re SO close to getting it, but you instead choose to lick to boot of billionaires.
@matthew83890
@matthew83890 3 жыл бұрын
@Jackson Hughes So your basic philosophy is pure "culture war" politics? That's it? It's that paper thin? Affirmative action? Open Borders? CRT? Do you even know what CRT is? No, because every single piece of political information you gain comes from some mass media organization like Fox or OAN. Critical Race Theory is taught in 0 primary, secondary, or high school class rooms. Critical Race Theory isn't taught in undergrad, and if you're in STEM you don't have to worry about it at all. CRT is taught in law school. I would know because I've been in school for the past 18 years of my life and am only JUST learning about CRT. Do you know why you believe BS like this? Because you're a sheep. No different from from any other liberal that watches CNN.
@matthew83890
@matthew83890 3 жыл бұрын
@Jackson Hughes Do you know One American News? OAN? They're the pro-Trump news organization that just sprouted out. You know where OAN gets most of it's funding? ATT, which gives OAN 90 percent of it's funding. You know what other news organization ATT owns? CNN (Google it. This is real). So take a moment and ask yourself, why does liberal-loving, CNN-owning ATT own a media organization the spouts conservative propaganda? Because CNN, MSNBC, Fox News, CBS News, ABC News, OAN, etc, are all controlled by Billionaires with agendas. And each and every one of these billionaire with agendas want to stay powerful billionaires. So they use their platforms to divide the working and middle class with Culture War bs. That way, people like you will aim your anger at nonexistant problems rather than at our government/larger corperations. Everyone knows that corporations own our government. Everyone knows that the rich should be taxed. But it never happens because people are distracted by Russiagate, or CRT, or some other bs that they invented. You think Democrats are any different than Republicans? Because Democrats own 2 branches of government, and literally nothing that you've talked about has been implemented.

Trump was justified in criticizing Powell because of the lies he presented to the U.N. in justification for the war in Iraq. However, it is clear he only made those comments because Powell was a comparatively liberal Republican that continuously criticized Trump If he had been a Trump supporter, he would've released an eulogy for Powell.
