You can disagree with us foreign policy, and I do. But the fact is that I'd rather live in a world dominated by US than say Russia or China. It's not ideal by any means but the better scenario among bad scenarios.

yeah but thats not a real thing, China and Russia do not want to dominate the world, they simply want to weigh equally with US power, this is diplomacy, the only way to achieve peace! You in fact do NOT disagree with the US foreign policy, you're a neocon.

What an incredible interview. Obama really opens up here. You can tell that he doesn't quite agree with some of the thing's he's saying here but seems very determined. And he lost the Senate later that year.

One has to respect this guy. I think he is the best president the US has had in my life time. He is no nonsense for good and for bad, without being a narcissist. " They don't call Beijing, they don't call Moscow......they call us....that's how we roll" What he means is, not just for military actions but also in other crisis not caused by crazy people. And he's right.

Many US voters seem to be so used to the US stomping on someone, that diplomacy and a few targeted missions against criminals seem useless to them. But foreign policy of the US has never been better than under Obama. He stood in for the US fighting for peace and prosperity, not for immediate self-interest alone. He understood that the US are stronger, the more allies and friends they have, that it is not merely about projecting military power. He understood that there is no military solution to lots of conflicts. That handing out more weapons to more separate groups just makes matters worse. Sadly, his message of peace has been turned around on him by republicans and their voters. Probably because they a) do not understand and b) see a personal interest in the military. I am certain, that Putin feared 100x more to be at odds with Obama's foreign policy, than he ever feared anything about Trump. And I am also sure that large parts of the world are so sick of Trumps hatred and were so hopeful about Obama's diplomatic approach, that they cannot believe people in the US prefering the foreign policy of Trump or some of his fellow Republicans.

This regime rose to power after Obama ignored every warning from US war general and the intelligence committee of the bush administration. We knew Iraq wasn’t capable of defending itself yet. General Petraeus strongly advocated for staying and finishing the job. We knew the regime in Syria was growing and Israel was giving intelligence. This incompetent law maker thought he knew more about peace and war than a decorated US general. SMH Obama lied to the nation.
