Even though I'm American, i had a Sindy doll when I was little! The defunct toy company Marx licensed her for a brief while in the late '70s (yes, I'm old!), and "Santa" brought me not only Sindy but a lot of her furniture and a couple of outfits, including an elegant brown and cream satin hostess dress with cape. I loved her sweet face and her soft and poseable limbs that made her much more interesting to play with than Barbie (to me). And best of all, nobody else that I knew had her! I thought of her as my special doll. It wasn't until around twenty years ago that I realized Sindy wasn't just a short-lived doll in the US, but a British institution! That made me love her even more. I'm so glad you've been able to collect the newer Sindys and enjoy your childhood joy once again. Cheers!

So pleased that you go her so early and unboxed her for us. Did they let you know that she was on the way? Not sure how long mine will take to get to me here in Ireland. When I first saw her I was very much in two minds about getting her, however she did grow on me and so I did pre-order her in the end. As you say she is a special anniversary doll, plus it's good to show support for the brand as hopefully it will show that there is still a lot of love for Sindy and might encourage them to produce more. I would be happy even if they just released a few collector editions a year tbh. I only have the skater Sindy from the original limited edition range, I'm so glad I was able to get her but wish I had gotten all of them.

I'm so excited for her! I ordered her on July 1st since they still had them. I'm late to the Sindy Kid Kreations collection but I did manage to get 3 of them (blue, pink, purple hair) so when they still had the anniversary dolls available for sale, I got one! It'll take a few more weeks for her to arrive here in Texas 🙂 Thanks so much for the review!!

I had a Sindy in the 60s with all the outfits and 2 wardrobes. I gave them away in the 70s when I got married. I kept them in perfect condition. I really regret parting with her now. (Im in my 60s). I might treat myself to the anniversary edition.

Congratulations Sara, she is lovely. Shame they don’t provide proper undies, you think they would for a collector’s doll. Very tempted to now go and order one, is her hips swinging or good and firm. I know some of the other dolls had swingy hips/legs
