Your right the Firehawk and ws6 is the pinnacle of 4th gens, especially big cube na LSX. I really like the 01-02 Camaro SS too tho. I Chose to do something alil different tho, mines a hardtop 95, turbo LS swap of course lol.

That's gotta be a fun car to drive with that much NA power. Do you think the intake is holding it back? I have similar intake setup to this car, an FTP 104 lid with a 4" MAF housing and an LS3/7 MAF card going to a Nick Williams 102 and Fast 102 on my SBE LS1 Camaro. My MAP shows it dropping a few KPA starting around 6000 rpm and getting worse all the way up to the 7000 rev limiter. I also have the stock bottom airbox, so maybe that could be holding me back? Not that a few KPA lost is going to add all that much power, but I like to optimize every little thing, they all add up.

If memory serves right it held 96kpa to 6,6-6,700 or so. It has the Msd airforce. 103nw throttle. 102ish maf. I pulled the lid. Open maf’d it. Speed density it even. No gain.

Are the OEM coils not also made in China, like most of the third party parts in every vehicle? I remember an article years ago explaining how the automakers had parts made in China, then those same factories took the details and made cheaper knockoffs to sell. So they made money two or three times off the same products.

I don't have no 454 I have a LS1 putting a 229/236 .631 .631 111+2 cam in it what else is going to take to get 500 N/A your advice or knowledge would be appreciated and a blessing. Has some mods ls6 intake Cai headers exhaust stage 2 clutch m/t DRs

That’s probably a 400whp combo if the heads are stock. It takes about 12:1, 300cfm intake side, 235/242+ camshaft, and a really nice intake to make 500whp with a 5.7. My best 5.7 build ever is 495 and it was radical.

Do coils add that much? I have a 02 with 19k on her. I drove her home from Iowa. Now she's up on jack stands getting new exhaust, air intake, vette c7 z06 rims delivered tomorrow, and btr 3 with heads and intake ordered. She was stock when I got her.
