I have thought of a very few of these things myself, which makes me appreciate the others even more. What comes to mind are the nail as a drill bit, several makeshift soldering iron rests, wrapping a magnet before using it to pick up fine particles (I have used a disposable bag then turned it inside out for removal; I have also used tape), and using something odd to temporarily hold a screw onto a loose driver to start it it an awkward place (some of my choices are a bit of drinking straw, wiring insulation, or something tubular, split lengthwise for easy removal).

The one where he fixes the USB cable using heat shrink I've done many times and it works far better if you put a little hot glue inside of the heat shrink because it gets between any bare wires and insulates them from each other

That "sharpener" hack is going to ruin the edge on a blade and make it far more difficult to repair properly. Depending on the drill speed you might even fuck up the heat treat.

Deshalb "Daumen hoch".

@edf9577
@edf9577 Жыл бұрын
The ring spanner hangs loose so you can see if you're drilling in horizontally or not. If you're not level the spanner slides towards or away from the drill. You don't have to hold it or anything. Just alter the drill angle until the spanner stays still and it's level. This is the only tip I already used before I saw this 👍

4:06 Admittedly, this one was pretty clever. 1:32 ...? 3:04 ...? (If the hole in the wood is an issue, just use a plug...) 3:15 Please don't do this to your knives/blades. 3:22 Terrible idea. If, for whatever reason, it's accidentally turned on it will skip/jump out quite easily. Most rotary tools already come with a handle to hang it from (like Dremel). If yours doesn't... just attach something to hang it from on the cord and make sure the head of the tool isn't contacting anything. 3:27 You took more time and materials and left holes in the wood where duct tape would've sufficed. "But I don't have duct tape..." You had a knife, plastic containers and staple gun but no duct tape?

Bottle openers… I use the butt end of my bic lighter against my hand wrapped round the bottle neck and pry it off in one go. We have Ale 8-1 soft drink here with pop tops so most of us that grew up here can do it. I can use about anything that will fit under the bottle cap at all. Screw driver. Pice of pipe. Some ink pens/markers. Spoon. About anything that’s hard and makes a good lever. I have never needed a bottle opener specific tool. You just choke the top of the bottle with one hand tight and insert your implement between your fist and the cap and pry against your hand-knuckle- fulcrum.

Good and a well-known method. It works sufficiently well with the last bottle. All the previous bottles may be opened much easier: the same way, but using another bottle.
