I love these -- both of them. I do agree with you that the one on the black really does pop. Looking at the one with the white background, I think it has it's own personality and is very pretty also. Together, they are a beautiful pair.

This was totally unexpected. Both paintings are great, however the black painting really really does it for me. Those colors appear to pop right off the canvas with the black background. That’s really cool!

Both of these look really good! I do really like the results of the black one though as well!! Great colour palette choice! The magenta, orange and yellow makes me think fire in some spots. Looks like in general there are quite a few cells that were popping up that look nice too.

The black is more dramatic whereas the white is more fanciful. They''re both equally beautiful, and I wish you could enter both of them as a single piece/diptych. Most art contests will accept diptychs or triptychs as a single piece (at least the ones I've submitted to). But whichever one you submit, I think it'll be amazing. Good luck!!

Wow! These are beautiful. Would love to see you do this and completely cover the middle. Use your same "petal" technique but don't stop until they touch in the center. This way you'd still have the paint coming in from different directions. (and a big puddle in the middle, oops) Hmmmmm. . . I'm sure you could figure out what to do about that, lol. Yes, the colors definitely pop on the black. However, I freaking love the left half of the white painting. We need to have a pow wow, there are so many things that I want you to try. 3 weeks. squeeeeeeeee xoxoxoxoox

I thought the white base one was so delicate until you started on the black base, much more striking. But, both are fantastic looking. About your California trip, make a point of going to the San Diego Zoo. I’d say about 10 years ago I went with one of my brothers, we got so caught up in awe of the Pandas that we ended up closing the Zoo. We got lost couldn’t figure out which way to go because all the zoo goers were gone. Literally we were rescued by one of the guards that drive around checking to be sure everyone was out. It really was pretty funny. But, lots of fun. Have a good time and if you get to see the whales 🐳 wave to them for me 😊
