It's crazy how big creators never talked about it that much... I had no idea Pokémon had a MMO game this dense and still so easy to run. From time to time I get addicted to Pokémon and I always saw these MMO games as just gimmicks but this one is 10000% legit. Looks amazing. GameFreak should definitely make Pokémon games like this. If fans can, then I'm sure a team full of devs can pull this off as well. They don't even need to make this the official game. They could just add the option to play online and that's it.

Niche IV tip: 0 IV in attack is desirable by special attackers, and 0 speed is desirable by slow trick room Pokémon. A 0 IV is as rare as a 31 IV (even though it feels bad most of the time)

No shame though I haven't played Pokemon for more than a yearly sesh or two for nearly two decades, mainly because my carts batteries are dead and the save files haven't worked in years, but all this time later I've been getting back into the newer games on an emulator.

Great video. Here are some tips of my own. 1. If you are looking to play this game long term you need to realize that this is an mmo, it's not like the original games where you beat the league, make some side quests and then games over. There's a lot of things you can do in pokemmo like breeding, PvP, farming, shiny hunting, getting cosmetics etc. But the thing is that in order to enjoy all these things, you need money. That's the most important aspect of this game, if you have no money you can't do much, so don't waste your money early game and find ways to make money(farm). 2. Theres a lot of guides on the forum page of pokemmo that can help you out with what you want to do so actively check them out. 3. A lot of people are very eager to breed but I often see they do it non efficiently and waste the low money they have. A lot of beginner and even intermediate level players who have the misconception that the way to breed is 5x31 since 31 is the only stat that matters. Breeding a 5x31 natured asumming you catch all the breeders and don't buy any, would cost you between 600-650k assuming you don't get the nature right away. Considering new players this is about a week worth of farm (and most importantly your time) wasted on a pokemon you don't really need. If you chose to sell them take in a count that these pokemon usually sell for under 800-900k so that's just 150-200k for a week. worth of your time. Theres no need to breed 5x31 a lot of tournament winners just play with 2x31 and then high IVs in the other stats, because they need a lot of pokemon and they can't bee spending 900k on them. If you are looking to breed a comp team or a farm team you can just breed 2x31 3x27+ or 3x31 2x27+ with the 31 going on the most important stats. It's much cheaper, theres a lot of breeders in gtl and they are mostly just as usefull as the 5x31. Just look to breed several IVs at the time, as I said, theres a lot of breeders in gtl that offer are 3x27+ or 1x31 2x27+ under 10k.

I'm not understanding your first first point. Isn't that all just literally what you do in the post-game of a regular Pokemon game? What makes it different from a normal Pokemon game? Reading your 3rd point... is it just that it's all the same except they make everything cost a lot of in-game money, so everything is just slower?

@@monke12354 yes, except you don't need money or to farm for hours to do so in a normal games, in pokemmo you do, if you have no money you can't breed high iv pokemon for pvp, you cannot look for shiny's as efficiently, you cannot buy pvp items or TMs for your pokemon and you most certainly cannot buy cosmetics unless you put real cash into the game.

@@Trixtoxia Temtem's co-op is really good. You can actually play the game with a partner TOGETHER and it handles really well. Some people report disconnects and de-sync's in co-op but I have yet to have that happen to me.

tip 14, set up moves help in story mode is so true, I dont bother with them in the regular games but with pokemmo Growth helped me out so much early game in Black/White because I picked Snivy so I got to the forest without any fire types and being forced to do a double battle with 4 bug pokemon against me was so hard even when going to level cap.

Great video. Im a longtime pokemonplanet player (since I was in middle school, so around 8years?) and ive noticed the playerbase drastically dwindling, and alot more p2w coming into the game. I just started playing Pokemmo a few days ago and am already working on my 5th badge, and I love the different things that this game has. The breeding system is great and isnt just completely broken with 31/31/31/31/31/31 dittos, the battles in general are awesome, everything seems great.

P2W creeping in sounds like a bad omen, and the MMO aspect increasing the amount of grinding required for everything and the usual shenanigans that come with other players really make it not all that appealing to me, which is a shame considering how it's one of the few fan-games to have multiple regions to play through as well as immense amount of QoL stuff the original games would only dream of having. It's clear to me this is one of those trade-off situations that come with the genre itself, and the trade-off often isn't favorable for me.

Thanks for the tips! Ad an older fan of pokemon who stopped around 3rd gen Pokemon, I'm pretty stoked to rekindle the flame and experience my inner child again. Question for ya - I'd PokeMMO just one big server, or is it divided between games? Such as, if I played Red, where no other Generations of pokemon exist, can I still go to other regions? Recently tried TemTem, one of the standard Pokemon clones. All it did was make me miss Pokemon, there's just no replacement for how cool and adorable Pokemon look. Now, if only the mechanics weren't so lacking. Out-level and 1-shot or 2-shot enemies is the best strategy and it's tragic.
