There's a few minor items that I would do differently but they are minor and based on habit and personal experience. Beautiful, big, and more affordable. Very nice!!! Coming from the mid west, rain can really mess with your foundation. I'd consider adding gutters and downspouts -- maybe in a rain barrel configuration to help water your lawn..... if it's all net new. For affordability, it looks like you could phase in building the separate rooms as needed.

I really wanted to do a post frame house because at one point i really thought it would be noticeably less expensive to build until I considered the machinery rental, the cost of pouring a high polish concrete floor, and then having to frame all the exterior walls ANYWAYS for insulation. I love the idea of a wide open concept though and thats something somewhat unique to these buildings. All in all I dont think post frame uses less lumber by any stretch of the imagination...in fact it seems to me with all the additional lumber for support you actually use a lot more than standard stick building. Excellent series though-super detailed and fun to watch, it just helped me realize post frame isnt for me haha.

I've been building a barndo by myself with little no help from anyone since 2018 in Texas. It's an overall @ 7800 Sq ft construction. I'm close to finishing it enough that I can move in and finish the the rest while in residence. I'll probably never be finished but it will be livable

To be fair most homes only price out the square footage of the home (which would be ~$88/sqft) and if you add the labor for this house that isn't shown it would probably add 3x labor cost which puts you right about ~$351/sqft. Now, if you have the tools, knowledge, connections and time to do this. You can save a lot of money as shown!
