This video is about a LS3 swapped Nissan Silvia S14 I saw at the same racetrack during the Italian round of the 2014 King of Europe Drift series and during a Kamikaze Drift event. The car has been prepared by the italian company Brill Steel Motorsport.

The V8 is made for drift. Lots of torque, no need of forced induction, just big cubes.

Mathias Horvath off* V8s, in my experience, are simple, and easy to fix and reliable. Unless you're talking about the 4 cylinder 22RE, which is reliable. But it is very very boring, and not usable in drifting applications

Even JDM tuners are better with American Muscle V8's. The only JDM engines I would ever consider running are RB26's and 2JZs, for obvious reasons. Everything else sounds like lawnmowers, I'm looking at you VTECs.

fred johnson I was actually thinking about swapping a VG30DETT into a 350z, simply because I like older engines they're easier to work on with less electronic shit needed, at least for me. Plus, it sounds glorious and can output insane numbers on stock internals.

only 5 actually good JDM engines that re populr. and a the VG and VQ that arent popular. the 5 are: RB25/26 1/2 JZ SR20 as well as the 2.4 l in the 240SX EJ25 and of course honda civic lawnmower vtec how could you exclude that one, it beats F1 engines, muscle car engines, and supercar engines by a longshot.
