Yet another project I got to hold while I watched the video! lol. I love it! And I love that you added the rhinestones to it 🧡🧡🧡 As I was unwrapping it, I was surprised at how heavy the lid was! I think you should definitely do this jar again in another color. Poinsettias come in a lot of different colors; besides various shades of red, they also come in various shades of pink from light pink to fuchsia pink, various shades of white to off-white, burgundy, and salmon. Some even come multi-colored with white mixed in with the red or pink. Blue & purple poinsettias aren't natural and are actually white ones that are dyed, but I think that either of those colors would look great on a jar. 😀

Definitely after. I originally thought it was gorgeous and needed nothing but the after is just too pretty. The decorating part is my weakness. I rarely have the patience for it. So I'm always amazed at the people who have it and take the time for the tiny details. Very well done! 👏🏼👏🏼

Definitely a poinsettia. The center is green until the center blooms and then it's tiny yellow blooms. 😊 I have only ever seen interference colors show up on a dark background.

I think it’s very lovely! I do think the extra scoop of red powder made a difference. I could tell just stirring it in, but it really is apparent in the finished top vs the bottom. Or, maybe you put 2 scoops in the bottom, too, it just took so much less. 😊. Your blinged it out so beautifully! I like it after the bling. On the wire doodads you got as a gift, I believe they are like place card holders for your table. Of course you can decorate them any way you like and put whatever type of resin “bottom” you want on them. Enjoy!

For example, if you made one of your elks, you would drill a small hole into either its head or back that is just big enough to insert the wire thing into & then you slide a placecard into the circles of the wire at the top. That would look really cool on a Christmas table. 😉

The interference powder I've used has really only given me a noticeable effect when using white or black resin. And I have to say, you do such a great job with your finishing touches!

Beautiful! By the way, those metal sticks with the spiral on the end are photo holders. You put the pointy end in a block of wood (or resin) and stick a photo in the other end.

I liked it both ways, but the bling is better (always😂) Just one thing to add.....in the picture of the pointsettia, the middle staymen should also have a little bling of red. Just my opinion, but I think that would really make it a bit more WOW. The color was perfect because poinsettias come in pink too 😍

The metal sticks with the round tops are for pictures. You stick the point into your mold when you pour resin in, and the circular end sticks out and you put a picture or a note in it. Some people use them for place markers on tables.

I like the extra spoon of interference red in the top, I did notice a difference in the cup. I feel like I said this to someone else, the closer/smaller the petals are to the center, the redder or pinker the color. The outer petals turn green as the plant ages. The "flower" of the poinsettia plant is those little yellow dots. Fresh, young leaves= color, older leaves down the stem=green. Regardless, this is a very pretty box. 👏😊

I agree. I, too, noticed a slight change in the color with the extra scoop of powder. Just a PSA: The petals, which are actually leaves, all start out green. The leaves turn red (or pink or white) once the plant is exposed to more darkness than daylight. These leaves are called bracts. Poinsettias only begin to show color in the fall when the days grow shorter. The leaves need bright sun followed by about 14 hours of complete darkness for about a month before they will start to turn color. If the plant doesn't get this cycle of light vs dark, the leaves will stay green. If the plant is in the proper light cycle, the new leaves will begin turning color as soon as they start growing, but they do start out green first. When the days start growing longer again, and the leaves start getting more light than darkness, the leaves will stop changing color. Yes, the newer leaves are at the top & yes, it is those leaves that turn color. However, they do not turn color because they are newer. They turn color because they are the leaves that get the most sunlight, whereas the leaves below them are shaded by the leaves above them, causing them to stay green. So it is because they are at the top getting the brightest sunshine that they turn color, not because they are new. That is just a coincidence. The "little yellow dots" are not the flowers. They are reproductive structures called cyathia & the flowers are the red things inside of them. When you buy a poinsettia, buy the one with the least number of flowers showing (ie. with closed cyathia), as these are the youngest plants & they will last longer (unless you're one of those people who have a knack for keeping poinsettias alive year-round). 🌈⭐The more you know 😃
