It was $84,423 as of now when I went to donate. While I was recovering from my own personal medical condition last year I discovered this channel and Scott and Paerau really helped keep me entertained and take my mind off my condition when I was feeling low. I miss the chef Paerau segments in smoko time and to celebrate him I’ll have a cheese toastie and chicken and mushroom pie in his honour. Sending love and well wishes from Birmingham England.

Jess should start a Gardening Channel - Learn with Me - Since you've become a personality in your own right in the channel you might as well take advantage of it and clearly you've learnt so much about gardening in the last 2 years. Double your income. :)

YT woodworking/building video viewers must be top notch. Everyone rallied around Jamie (Perkins Builder Bro's") and now Paerau. Wish him the speedy recovery.

I've learned a few things watching this one 1) Watching a series in order meant I missed out on Paerau's story, but super glad he's on the mend with great support from the community 2) I'll probably need to re-clad my house as we never painted the backside of our weatherboards (but we insulated and wrapped) 3) It's totally worthwhile making the effort to get your board ends to not line up

Definitely noticed that was Christchurch. Everyone I know is doing an autumn roadie down south while I'm painting my bathrooms. I'm not jealous though, yeah right!

Amazing fund raising for Paerau. But also make sure he is accessing ACC for weekly compensation as well as home help (weekly cleaner) and asking for any equipment that could help out with moving around the home x. Also loving watching the progress you guys have made on your house

Finally Neil Oliver Podcast, Neil is a very intelligent person and is very well respected in all things Scottish. He has several tv series on Scottish historical facts and my good lady has several of his books. Later 👍

Top job with the fund raising. 👍 I feel this series of the Reno with Jess has been the rite move. You may need to change the channel name and direction to Scott -Jess Brown building. You could do complete home turn overs. One after the other. Do a community build.

Ahhh Otago! Make sure and stop down in Palmerston ( my home town near 30 years ago 🥲) and get a famous Mutton Pie at the tea rooms and then head up the pigroot (local term ) to central Otago. Also make sure to stop into Aarrowtown on your way to Queenstown too. You will love the Otago area. 😊

Good job Jess! YOu are getting the hang of all this renovation landscape! Scott, the before and after is always satisfying to compare. Its a feel good practice. I visited New Zealand 3 times, all sport related. I tramped all over the South Island and one trip I was working and cycling and tramping and kayaking for 10 months. I had such an amazing time. It was safe for a single female to cycle solo and head into the outback tramping on her own....I hope it is the same now. Keep up the amazing work.💯 Spring has arrived early here in Atlantic East Canada so back to the outdoor shop to get more renovation work done, and fixing things up and managing two forest properties all for the better good. Cheers to you both, ☺🍻🇨🇦

Thank you Scotty, and Jess for sharing your home with us. I seek your advice on a pressing matter. Recently, our home suffered significant damage due to a cyclone and flood in the Hawkes Bay We have started the repair process with the help of our insurance company, and two carpenters were assigned to do the work. While the carpenters are skilled at what they do, the finishing work they have done so far is quite rough. There are noticeable gaps, holes, and uneven wall surfaces, which are not up to good practice standards. While they may excel in building barns, our home has been our residence for 35 years, and we want it to be repaired to a good standard. As someone with expertise in home renovations, I was hoping you could offer some advice on how to ensure that the repair job is completed to the best possible standard. I am worried that the subpar repairs may end up ruining our home, and I would appreciate any guidance you can offer on this matter. Thank you in advance for your time and expertise.

I realise the windows across the front of the house were never the same height, and with the dorrway between them breaking up the horizontal line its not as noticable. but now that you have removed the door and have that singular horizontal line are you going to even them up?
