Should have been a pass for me too. Thankfully I can throw them in my booth and they will slowly make my money back.

So great to see another video from you and love that format of processing the books with the voiceover.

Thank you! Too bad it wasn't better books to process, but lesson learned. 🙃

Typing out my thoughts (not comprehensive) as the video goes along: New Heroic Comics has a Henry Kiefer painted cover. that was Magnus Robot Fighter 18, the Superman MOS 18 and 19 are keys and should go in the other pile. JLA 179 is Firestorm joining minor key, Vision and Scarlet Witch 12 first appearance of her kids is a key. X-Men 281 is a first print first Jim Lee work on title, plus other stuff.
@collectingcasually5 ай бұрын
Thank you for the analysis! I'll definitely have to put a few of those to the side. Can you clarify the Jim Lee comment? I thought his first work was 248.

I agree that it may not have been worth $65. There were some other minor keys in the Death of Superman story, and a few in Shadows of the Bat, but condition would be everything. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for watching! Like you said, condition is key, and maybe I'll be more picky with my next collection purchase.

That New Heroic Comics looks nuts

It's like that show Rescue 911 from the 80s and 90s, but in comic form 🤣

The Vision and Scarlet Witch issue 12 is 1st Thomas Shepard and 1st Billy Kaplan aka Speed and Wiccan that's a book worth pulling.

Worth pulling and holding onto for at least a year. If what the "scoopers" say is real, Young Avengers is definitely coming and will at least some of the story for a Hawkeye Season 2. Assuming this is not just wishful thinking, I wouldn't sell it now for $5. I would wait until the hype train pops this book and he can recoup maybe half his money. What else has he go to lose? I don' think that it is going to get LESS valuable. I mean it already peaked because of WandaVision, but it is also didn't drop back down into the 50 cent bins either. They sprinkled those characters into that show and hopefully there will be a payoff in a year or two.

I'll put it to the side and see where it goes. At $0.36 spent on it, I can't complain too much 😁

I would Hold On to this comic has Real Potential for future this 1 book might have made this a good buy (condition is everything though ) 👍

Woah love the video quality and video idea!

Thank you! I was using a different microphone in this video, and I can't decide whether or not I want to use it more going forward, or stick with my wireless set. As far as the video idea goes, this is what most of my channel is about - picking up collections, and comic hauls, so hopefully you stick around and become a subscriber if you aren't already. :D

You should do a video showing your antique booth space.

It's coming - most likely an A to Z process video from comic acquisition to final sale at the booth. :D

Noticed a Brave and Bold Whitman variant. Not sure if that has any value. If anything if was an interesting range. Makes me curious about collecting habits. Although a lot of DC Superman, Justice League and Green Lantern. Can't win em all. Great vid.

I'll have to look at that one again - I believe I looked into it after I filmed, and didn't really find it to be too notable. Thanks for watching!

I'm Not sure if I would've paid $65, I think your offer of $50 was more than generous

My camera was on a tripod leaned against the table on two legs. Then I just aimed it straight down to the tabletop. Lighting was a single light panel on the left and a ring light to the right. Hope that answers it for you!

I do buy graded books as well, but not as often, and they have to be something I really want.
