also keep in mind, instead of adding IP of DMS instance to RDS security group, you may add postgresql allow rule for source security group (DMS instance SG) to RDS security group which is more secure and easier to maintain because you dont need to know IP address

i already have schema created in target PostgreSQL DB but while running DMS task its creating target schema with same name as of my source oracle schema . also i dont see provision to provide schema name while creating postgres endpoint. please guide.

One question. You set up an EC2 instance with PostgreSQL database on it. Why not migrate from on-premise to RDS?

Our database is now in ecs with postgresql version 9.6 , planning to move rds with postgresql version 12 by DMS , Is it possible ? If not are we need to upgrade soure postgresql version to 12 . can you help ?
