Such perceptive accuracy in this comment. I observed the same myself. Unfortunately with a disease such as addiction it’s nearly impossible to help the addict, they have to reach a place (oftentimes termed as rock bottom) where they actually want to seek help themselves.

@@connieoshea I know rock bottom oh too well myself. I’ve seen that look in Ernie’s eyes in the eyes of those that loves me in the past (sober now 5 years) and I’ve felt that same sadness through trying to help people i care about. Thanks for your message 😊🌈🦄

I enjoyed this interview so much - How did I miss it? (BTW -I am in my 60s now) I met Ernie Glam very briefly a handful of times while out and about exploring nightlife ("back in the day"). I was very impressed by him for many reasons. He still looks marvelous here and very much so back then. His eyes certainly speak volumes.

I never got to go to the Limelight in NYC. I flew into NY for a job interview & thought, "Well, here I am in the same city as the Limelight," but I didn't go. That was my only chance while it was still open. Didn't want to necessarily go alone.

A fun most memorable era. NYC had so many clubs each with it's own unique flavor. Small, large and over the top productions. You could go out 8 nights a week, ‼️
