[650] 1957 State park restroom reshoot with replaced diaphragms

I returned to the best state park restroom I've ever filmed to get a better view of those Standard Sanistand urinals and also to film every Modernus in the ladies room. Well it seems like they have replaced valve parts on all of the toilets and they all flush fairly uniformly now. That does mean the 2nd toilet in the men's is no longer overpowered, but it also means the last one doesn't flush like crap anymore!

Sanistands! Nowadays, you'd be using the urinal diaphragm recommended for 3 gallon flushes.

It’s because back in the day, Men’s urinals we’re actually designed to be used by both men and women. But at some point they decided to make urinals that only men could use and left the toilets to be used for either as “urinals” or you know what.

I remember this one. It's pretty incredible that all those Modernus are still there and the Sanistands! I wonder if the men's originally had Standard urinals? The vintage Bardon has been there a long time.

That's a good question. The Bardon could be original, if they installed different brands when they built it. A similar restroom at a different park has 2 more of these vintage Bardons, but none of the old toilets remain so I can't really compare them. They could have been Trents for all we know!

Ladies urinals, interesting. Great filming. I really like those 'reverse trap' toilets. In my vies women definitely have the more interesting facilities. Great find here. BTW, thanks for showing the men's as well, as I like to see how a set of toilet facilities differ between the sexes.
