Great vid! I could see the shock wave/vapor trail arc in this video. Nice! I have Win M70 Coyote 300WSM w/ factory Stainless 24" heavy barrel built in 2003 (New Haven, Conn). It has the cheaper CRF bolt (no mauser claw) like a Rem 700, Haven't done any really long-range shooting with it yet, but it'll cut cloverleafs@100 yds w/ Winchester Factory 150G and 180 G Ammo. Love it! I intend to work up some handloads for it this year, and will be investigating the AMAX and the Berger VLD bullets...

@CalUVulcan53 I have some 414. I've loaded it before in my WSM with null effect. I've become a face of the extruded powders. They are more stable at varying temps. I could be shooting my rifle at 12 to 98 degrees, and I want the most consistency I can get. Worth a try though. I also have some 165's left.

@diderr01 Yeah I know the extruded works best in lower temperatures but the chances I get in Pennsylvania Rifle Season its rarely ever below 25 degrees and that doesnt effect my groups one bit. I've tried 4895 and 4350 for it and they dont shoot worth a crap but I've never tried 4831 like you use, I'll have to give it a go sometime.

@moosehunter2616127 If you go 300 wsm you'll be very happy. The SA round in a LA makes seating heavy bullets farther out possible. When you get it re-barreled give your gunsmith a round with the heaviest bullet you'll be shooting, and he'll lead it. My current load is launching a 210 Berger @ 2900 out of a 23.5" barrel. Try to do that with a 300 WM. Also I'm not a fan of belted cases. I handload for my fathers 7mm rem mag (belted) and it's a nightmare.

@diderr01 if you wanna try something different i would try some h414 in the 300 wsm. its the only thing that i can get to produce tight groups. I use 61.5 grns for a 165 sierra boattail spitzer.

What twist do you have on your barrel? Berger suggests a 1-11 or faster for they're 210gr. Im tossing around either a 1-11 or a 1-10. The lightest I'll be shooting is the 200gr Sierra Gameking. Ive shot the 208 A-Max a lot and like it. If the Berger isnt to difficult to get up here I'll be going with that one for hunting. Otherwise it will be the Sierra. Im figuring on 26" and I always have a brake on. I dont mind admitting I dont like getting beat up when I shoot.

I have a 300wm with a toasted barrel. Im looking at rebarreling a med action to 300WSM.. Ive loaded and shot the 300wm for years and Im looking forward to getting away from the belt and hoefully better barrel life.. Have you tried H1000 for your load development?
