Looks great! I have that same kit. I would probably put it in hot water or the blow dryer method. Totally understand too…chunk it back in the box 😅

Hopefully yu can use epoxy, or superglue to glue the chassis plate to the interior, and hopefully it would flatten out. Save the LS for another project, glue the hood shut, and finish it as a curbside. I think it’s a good looking build so far!

Should you decide to try it, The hot water method worked for me. In fact I used boiling water to correct a warped AMT '63 Galaxie kit. I held the warped portion of the body in a pot of boiling water for about 15 seconds. I removed it and exerted force on the body to counter the warp, and then immediately held the body under cold tap water. I repeated this two more times. I was able to almost eliminate the warp. Good luck. It would be a shame not to finish the Nova after putting so much time into it.

Shame about the warpage, that was shaping up to be a very nice build.

@@DKScaleAutoWorkshop I plan on getting it done.

That is a lot of warpage. I say throw it in its box and bring it back out next year as a Zombie build. That would just be me wanting to move on to another kit instead of fixing the problem.

@@MasteringTheModel In the box it goes for a while. I have like 10 zombie builds sitting the stash. I’m going to hit this one again soon. Time to take on a box stock build. Thanks for stopping by. 🤙

@@StyreneDreams801 I have several of those Zombie builds myself. Hope your next build is better for you.
